Mega Prime Foods Turns 50, Gives Away ₱50M in Prizes Like It’s No Big Deal

Mega Prime Foods Inc. (MPFI) marked its 50th anniversary with a grand celebration that included bold expansion plans, celebrity sightings, and a jaw-dropping ₱50 million raffle promo.
During the milestone event, Chief Growth and Development Officer Marvin Tiu Lim unveiled MPFI’s international ambitions, highlighting new partnerships with foreign distributors such as Baqer Mohebi Enterprises in Dubai.
The company also revealed its horizontal growth strategy with the acquisition of Jimm’s Coffee Mix earlier in 2024.
MPFI aims to increase its canned sardines market share by five to ten percentage points by the end of 2025, targeting at least 30% in total share.
The celebration featured a celebrity-studded lineup, including Dimples Romana for Mega Mackerel, Marian Rivera-Dantes for Mega Prime Quality, and newly announced Jimm’s Coffee Mix ambassador Coco Martin.
Adding more glitz, Sharon Cuneta was introduced as the face of the Mega Milyonaryo promo and Mega Sardines brand.
Cuneta also debuted a new song titled “Sariwa ang Pangako,” inspired by her timeless hit “Kahit Maputi Na ang Buhok Ko.”
The Mega Milyonaryo promo was launched as a major customer appreciation initiative, offering a total prize pool of ₱50 million.
Prizes include GCash rewards, five brand-new Toyota Raize units, and five lucky winners of ₱1 million each.
To join, consumers must buy specially marked products from Mega Sardines, Mega Mackerel, or Jimm’s Coffee Mix and look for an alphanumeric code under the lid or inside the sachet.
Participants can then visit the Mega Sardines Facebook page, click “Get Started,” and choose the “Join Promo” option to register their entry.
Winners will be selected through promotional draws running from June 6 to December 31, 2025.
