Mentor Media Trades Manual Madness for Boomi Brilliance, Slashes EDI Time by 60%

Supply chain giant Mentor Media is ditching the duct tape and embracing digital speed, cutting Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) integration time by up to 60 percent using Boomi’s unified low-code platform.
The Singapore-based company, which services Fortune 500 clients globally, announced Thursday it had transformed its complex and time-consuming integration process using the Boomi Enterprise Platform.
Before the shift, Mentor Media relied on a patchwork of custom modules that left its operations slow, siloed, and difficult to scale.
Integrating new systems once took nearly two years, with no central oversight or transparency.
Now, with Boomi in place, integration times have dropped from 21 months to just four — a radical improvement for a company juggling global logistics at scale.
“Boomi is a game-changer for our global operations,” said Rueh Herng Yap, Senior Vice President at Mentor Media.
“We’re faster, more efficient, and better prepared for future growth.”
Boomi, an AI-driven automation company, is known for its low-code tools that simplify complex integrations and support digital agility.
The platform helped Mentor Media reduce new warehouse onboarding time by up to 50 percent — from a year to under six months — while increasing integration efficiency by as much as 60 percent.
It also helped save about 20 percent of senior developer time by streamlining the EDI process, freeing up engineers to focus on innovation rather than troubleshooting.
Mentor Media’s integration overhaul comes at a time when global supply chains are under increasing pressure to become more adaptive, resilient, and automated.
According to a 2023 Gartner report, 76 percent of supply chain professionals say digital transformation is a top priority, with agility and visibility ranked as critical capabilities.
Mentor Media’s use of Boomi reflects that trend, aligning tech capabilities directly with business goals.
The platform provided the company with full visibility into integration flows, allowing it to standardize best practices, proactively identify risks, and ensure more robust governance across regions.
“AI-powered documentation and intelligent change management tools have reduced the load on senior developers, giving us time back to focus on innovation and customer experience,” said Waikit Chong, System Development Manager at Mentor Media.
As Mentor Media plans for continued growth, Boomi’s AI tools will also support faster onboarding and training, empowering even less technical users to contribute to enterprise integration tasks.
That shift democratizes the integration process, easing reliance on IT bottlenecks and allowing broader teams to participate in digital initiatives.
“Today’s supply chains demand more than integration — they require agility, intelligence, and resilience,” said David Irecki, Chief Technology Officer for Asia Pacific and Japan at Boomi.
“With Boomi, Mentor Media has built a scalable and robust foundation that not only connects systems but also empowers teams to scale operations, accelerate time to value, and confidently meet the demands of a dynamic global market.”
Boomi currently supports more than 23,000 customers worldwide and partners with over 800 firms, providing AI-driven solutions that span integration, automation, and data management.
For Mentor Media, that means fewer headaches, less manual labor, and a much faster runway to meet customer demands in real time.
In an industry where a single delay can disrupt global operations, speed and automation are no longer nice-to-haves — they’re mission-critical.
Thanks to Boomi, Mentor Media is proving that with the right tech, even the most complex supply chains can be untangled — and accelerated.
