    The Best You Starts Now: Richard Gomez and Aga Muhlach Inspire Filipinos to Begin Their Fitness Journey

    The Philippines’ all-time top leading men and award-winning actors Aga Muhlach and Richard Gomez are taking on the challenge of beginning their fitness journey with Century Tuna, the Philippines’ leading tuna brand.

    Leading Century Tuna’s #TheBestYouStartsNow campaign, Aga and Richard are redefining what it’s like to be Dadbods with their transformation to wellness with the help of Century Tuna and Superbods 2014 Grand Champion, Coach Mauro Lumba. 

    Aga Muhlach, whose weight fluctuated during the pandemic, sees his work with Century Tuna as a motivation to take better of himself. Since joining the campaign with Century Tuna, he has lost 50 pounds and is committed to continuing to exercise and eat healthy to achieve his ideal weight by the end of the year.

    When asked if he has any advice for his fellow Filipinos who also want to start their fitness journey, he stated that it’s about starting the journey as soon as possible, “Just start now and do it slowly. There will be no instant gratification and it’s not gonna be easy because there’s gonna be failures along the way. But if you fail today, sleep. Tomorrow’s another day.”

    For Richard Gomez, becoming part of the #TheBestYouStartsNow means becoming a good role model to his fellow citizens. As a public figure, his work with Century Tuna is a good way to showcase how changing one’s lifestyle can make a drastic difference in one’s health and wellness.

    Since joining the campaign, he stated that through being consistent in his lifestyle change, his pants have become 4 inches looser, “Being healthy really involves a lot of diet, eating the right food, and doing the right exercises. It’s not easy. But you just have to keep on pushing yourself. Just be consistent, be regular. Be constant.” 

    Starting the next chapter in their lives, the Century Tuna ambassadors are now ready to show off their transformed healthy physiques and share their ongoing journey towards becoming the best version of themselves.

    Superbods Underpants Run in full swing

    Wearing their unique and creative costumes from superheroes to tuna cans, the 36 Century Tuna Superbods finalists displayed their stunning physiques, undeterrable spirit, and ingenuity as they sprinted the 5KM run during the recently held Century Tuna Superbods Underpants Run at the Subic Bay Boardwalk.

    The 2024 Century Tuna Superbods Underpants Run became an avenue for the Century Tuna Superbods to promote the #BestYouEver campaign by celebrating health and fitness and inspiring others to become the best versions of themselves.

    Usually held before IRONMAN races, the Century Tuna Superbods Underpants Run kickstarted this year’s Century Tuna Full IRONMAN Philippines in Subic Bay last June 7, 2024 

    The run was participated by more than 500 runners, who also wore colorful and creative outfits, including this year’s Century Tuna Superbods finalists, Century Pacific Food Inc. executives, Century Tuna Superbod 2014 Grand Winner Mauro Lumba, Century Tuna Superbod 2022 Grand Winner Kirk Bondad and Century Tuna Guest Superbod Atty. Oliver Moeller.

    Century Tuna Superbods 2024 finalist Patrick Patawaran was awarded the Best Costume during the run where he showed up wearing his Century Tuna can costume.

    Anchored on the #BestYouEver campaign, Century Tuna championed personal growth and advocacies of the finalists including taking care of the environment. Before the run, Century Tuna also held its Saving Our Seas coastal clean-up in partnership with SBMA where the participants collected 32 sacks of plastic waste along the coastline of Subic Bay. This is also in preparation for the swimming stage of the IRONMAN competition.

    The Century Tuna Superbods 2024 embarks on the #BestYouEver campaign and the remarkable journeys of the Superbods to promote the best versions of themselves and inspire others. Prior to the Century Tuna Superbods Underpants Run, the finalists also joined several onsite and online challenges including the Century Tuna Metcon Battleground, NCC Marathon and HOKA Trilogy Run. 

    The #BestYouEver Finals night will happen on July 9 where the Century Tuna Superbods 2024 Male and Female grand winners will be named. The Grand Winners will receive Grand Winners will each receive cash prize worth PHP500,000 tax-free while the Runners-Up will receive PHP200,000 tax-free.

    The summer just got hotter and fitter as the newest Century Tuna Ambassador Kathryn Bernardo and the Century Tuna Superbods Finalists officially launch the “Best You Ever” campaign.

    The premier fitness competition in the country, Century Tuna Superbods 2024 is now on its 9th season with the “Best You Ever” campaign that promotes self-love and self-improvement. Encouraging that every bod can be a Superbod, the Best You Ever campaign celebrates the journeys, personal growth, and overall wellness of every Filipino as they become the best versions of themselves.

    “With Century Tuna, I’m embracing fitness and wellness like never before. I hope that the ‘Best You Ever’ campaign becomes an avenue for Filipinos to start or continue their journey to become the best version of themselves.     Two months leading up to the finals night, the 36 Century Tuna Superbods Finalists brought their A-game as they showcased their fit and healthy bodies perfectly embodying what it is to be a Superbod.

    “We are on our 9th season and this year, we have a solid set of Superbods who, together with Kathryn, we believe epitomize what it is to be a Superbod and what we stand for in Century Tuna. Our common factor in choosing this year’s Superbods is those who we believe will uplift and inspire others in their fitness journeys,” said Century Pacific Food Inc.     The finalists will join a series of digital and onsite challenges that will be uploaded on Century Tuna Superbods Facebook page leading up to the Finals Night on July 9, 2024. The Century Tuna Superbods 2024 Male and Female Grand Winners will each receive PHP500,000 tax-free while the Runners-Up will receive PHP200,000 tax-free.
