PUMA Unveils Speedcat Ballerina at Copenhagen Fashion Week

PUMA has introduced the Speedcat Ballerina, a bold fusion of ballet and motorsports, at Copenhagen Fashion Week.

The new silhouette blends the classic Mary Jane style with the sleek design of the Speedcat, featuring an open forefoot and elastic strap closure. It debuts in striking colorways, including two-tone black and pink, along with a metallic silver inspired by F1 race cars.

Originally launched in 1999 for F1 drivers, the Speedcat was designed for precision on the track. Now, PUMA reimagines the design by incorporating elements from the rebellious 1920s Mary Jane shoe.

The Speedcat Ballerina in Silver, Pink, and Black and Pink will launch on April 10, 2025, for PHP 5,200 at PUMA.com and select stores, including PUMA Bonifacio High Street, Shangri-La Plaza, and SM North EDSA, as well as retailers like Foot Locker, Commonwealth, and Atmos.

Exclusive White and Black editions will be available only at Foot Locker Glorietta and Greenhills.

PUMA Reimagines the Iconic Speedcat OG with Fresh, Must-Cop Colorway in “Black Pink”

PUMA drops another electrifying addition to its Speedcat lineup. The European sports brand introduces the new Black Pink colorway, a fresh take on the iconic racing-inspired sneaker that brings a dynamic yet refined edge to the street-ready silhouette of the PUMA Speedcat.

A Speedway and Streetwear Style Icon

First launched in 1999 and reintroduced in 2024, the PUMA Speedcat has solidified itself as a motorsport-inspired staple. With its low-profile design, streamlined contours, and a flat rubber outsole, this sneaker was originally designed for F1 drivers but has seamlessly transitioned into a streetwear essential.

Beyond its visual appeal, the PUMA Speedcat remains true to its roots with a specialized heel design inspired by the pedal-switching mechanics of professional race car drivers. This, combined with its sleek silhouette and flat outsole, ensures optimal grip and control whether you’re behind the wheel or navigating the city streets.

The PUMA Speedcat in “Black Pink” takes inspiration from the original Black iteration, but with a striking update. The latest version of the Speedcat retains the black suede upper, which exudes a premium feel. The soft pink accents take the place of the white ones from the OG black colorway, gracing the signature PUMA Formstrip, interior lining, and embroidered branding details.

The PUMA Speedcat in the latest colorway looks both understated and eye-catching, effortlessly blending motorsport aesthetics with contemporary fashion.

The PUMA Speedcat in “Black Pink” is available for PHP 7,100 on PUMA.com and at PUMA stores in Bonifacio High Street, Shangri-La, SM North EDSA, Gateway Mall, and Ayala Malls Manila Bay.

The new colorway is also available at Foot Locker stores in Greenhills, Glorietta, UP Town Center, and Trinoma, and Commonwealth stores in Greenbelt 5 and SM Aura.

For fans of the Speedcat in the original Black and Red Colorways, PUMA is dropping a restock on PUMA.com, and PUMA stores in Bonifacio High Street, Shangri-La, SM North EDSA, and at Foot Locker in Glorietta.
