Singapore Airlines (SIA) has recently introduced a significant enhancement to its Premium Economy Class in-flight experience, scheduled to debut on flights commencing from March 31, 2024.

This upgrade encompasses an array of improvements, including an enriched selection of food and beverage offerings, the introduction of a new amenity kit, and the implementation of enhanced service elements.

Passengers traveling in the Premium Economy Class can look forward to a heightened level of comfort and luxury as they embark on their journey with Singapore Airlines.

The revamped Premium Economy Class experience begins with a touch of elegance as passengers are greeted with a glass of Charles de Cazanove Brut Tradition NV champagne shortly after take-off.

This gesture sets the tone for a refined and indulgent journey ahead. To further enhance the dining experience, passengers will have access to a comprehensive hard copy menu card detailing an extensive range of meal options, snacks, and beverages available during their flight.

Meals will be presented in elegant custom-made porcelain serviceware, adding a touch of sophistication to the dining experience at 30,000 feet.

For flights lasting seven hours or more, passengers in the Premium Economy Class will have the opportunity to enjoy an all-new amenity kit designed exclusively for their comfort and convenience.

The Out of the Woods amenity kit is set to elevate the travel experience by providing essential amenities tailored to meet the needs of Premium Economy Class passengers.

This latest initiative marks a significant milestone for Singapore Airlines as it represents the first comprehensive revamp of the Premium Economy Class in-flight experience since its introduction in 2015.

By continuously evolving and enhancing its offerings, Singapore Airlines aims to uphold its reputation for delivering exceptional service and personalized experiences to its valued customers.

Mr. Yeoh Phee Teik, Senior Vice President Customer Experience at Singapore Airlines, expressed the airline’s commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction: “At Singapore Airlines, our philosophy is rooted in continuous improvement and innovation. We place great emphasis on gathering customer feedback, conducting market research, and staying attuned to evolving travel preferences. This comprehensive revamp of our Premium Economy Class offerings reflects our dedication to providing a world-class in-flight experience that exceeds our customers’ expectations.”

The dining options in the revamped Premium Economy Class have been meticulously curated to offer passengers an unparalleled culinary journey. With over 200 new appetizers, main courses, and desserts developed as part of this expansion, passengers can expect a diverse selection of delectable dishes served on full-sized trays.

The upgraded meal options include seasonal appetizers, premium main courses featuring international and Asian cuisine selections, freshly baked bread such as croissants for breakfast or garlic bread rolls for lunch and dinner, as well as an assortment of desserts crafted to tantalize the taste buds.

Passengers can choose from an array of premium main course options that showcase culinary excellence and diversity. Highlights include dishes like Beef Bourguignon served with bacon, mushrooms, vegetables, and potato gratin; Bak Chor Mee (minced pork noodles); Thai-style Crab Curry accompanied by jasmine rice and brown rice; along with seasonal variations of Japanese cold noodles with soba sauce.

Additionally, passengers can indulge in an expanded Book the Cook menu offering up to 20 dishes available for pre-order at least 24 hours before departure. This exclusive selection includes popular favorites like Singapore Style Seafood Hor Fun and Chicken Biryani, as well as new additions such as Slow Braised Lamb Ragout, Sake Teriyaki (salmon in teriyaki sauce), and plant-based wellness dishes like Mushroom Eggplant Meatballs.

To complement these exquisite dining options, Singapore Airlines has curated a selection of wines and Champagne chosen by a panel of wine experts exclusively for Premium Economy Class passengers.

In addition to the Charles de Cazanove Brut Tradition NV champagne offered upon boarding, passengers can savor wines like the 2023 Wairau River Sauvignon Blanc and the 2022 St Hallett Faith Shiraz during their flight.

An extensive range of spirits including whisky, gin, vodka, signature cocktails such as the iconic Singapore Sling, and a variety of beers will also be available for passengers’ enjoyment.

In addition to alcoholic beverages, non-alcoholic options have been expanded to include Peppermint and Chamomile teas along with hot chocolate from Cadbury. These additions complement an already wide selection of soft drinks, fruit juices, coffee, and teas available onboard.

For those moments between meals when hunger strikes or cravings arise, passengers can now enjoy new snack options such as almonds and cashews alongside existing favorites like potato chips, assorted buns, sandwiches, muffins, and flavored popcorn.

The presentation of meals has also received special attention with meals now being served on contemporary stoneware glazed porcelain serveware placed on linen-lined trays alongside neatly arranged silverware.

This attention to detail adds an element of sophistication to the dining experience while ensuring that every aspect is thoughtfully considered.

The introduction of the brand-new amenity kit designed exclusively for Premium Economy Class passengers further enhances the overall travel experience with Singapore Airlines.

In collaboration with Out of the Woods—a US-based manufacturer known for eco-friendly and sustainable lifestyle products—the amenity kit features an eco-friendly Forest Stewardship Council (FSC)-certified kraft paper fabric pouch containing eyeshades and slippers made from recycled PET material.

The kit also includes a lip balm packaged in biodegradable material to align with sustainable practices embraced by both Singapore Airlines and Out of the Woods.

Meanwhile, toiletries such as dental kits and moisturizers will continue to be available in lavatories for passenger convenience during their flight journey.

Singapore Airlines’ revamped Premium Economy Class in-flight experience represents a significant leap forward in delivering unparalleled comfort, luxury, and personalized service to its discerning passengers.

By continuously innovating and refining its offerings based on customer feedback and market trends—Singapore Airlines remains committed to setting new standards in air travel excellence while ensuring that every journey is an unforgettable experience for all who choose to fly with them.
