Caltex, GBP renew fuel supply deal
Chevron Philippines Inc. (CPI), the marketer of the Caltex brand of fuels and lubricants in the Philippines, has renewed its fuel supply deal with Global Business Power Corporation (GBP). The two companies have a long-term partnership that aims to achieve mutual success. The renewed deal will allow CPI to continue supplying fuel to GBP, which is a leading power generation company in the Philippines.

Chevron currently supplies fuel to GBP’s seven plant facilities in operation in Cebu and Iloilo. With this extended partnership, Chevron will continue to supply the power company’s fuel needs for another year to continue servicing GBP’s customers.
The signing ceremony, recently held at the GBP office in Rockwell Business Center, Ortigas, was attended by CPI Fuel and Lubricants B2B Manager Jaime Zuluaga, New Business Acquisition Specialist Nestor Ramos, GBP President Jaime Azurin, and GBP EVP and COO Dominador Camu Jr.
Wholly owned by the Meralco PowerGen Corporation (MGen), GBP is a leading independent power producer in the Visayas region with presence in Mindanao. It has effectively transformed Cebu and Iloilo into main drivers of growth in the region through the commercial operations of its subsidiaries namely Panay Energy Development Corporation, Panay Power Corporation, Cebu Energy Development Corporation and Toledo Power Co.
