Manila-Seattle flights soon available with Philippine Airlines

Philippine Airlines (PAL) is set to revolutionize travel between the Philippines and the U.S. Pacific Northwest with the launch of nonstop flights between Manila and Seattle, commencing on 02 October 2024.

This milestone move positions PAL as the first carrier to directly connect these two regions, opening up new avenues for business and leisure travel between the United States and the Philippines.

The introduction of nonstop flights from Manila to Seattle by PAL aims to cater to the increasing demand for seamless travel experiences. With over 900,000 Americans visiting the Philippines in 2023, the U.S. stands as the country’s second-largest source of tourists.

This new route not only facilitates travel for U.S. residents to the Philippines but also serves the significant Filipino American community residing in Washington and Oregon, totaling more than 240,000 individuals.

Captain Stanley K. Ng, President and Chief Operating Officer of PAL, expressed the airline’s enthusiasm for the new route, stating, “Philippine Airlines is happy to say, ‘Mabuhay, Seattle!’ We are proud to welcome Seattle to our growing U.S. route network.”

The expansion of PAL’s U.S. routes has garnered praise from key figures such as Philippine Transportation Secretary Jaime J. Bautista, who highlighted the importance of enhancing airport facilities and operations to accommodate the post-pandemic surge in air passenger traffic.

The launch of nonstop service to Seattle aligns with the anticipated upgrades at Manila’s Ninoy Aquino International Airport, further boosting travel and tourism between the Philippines and the United States.

Seattle, known for its vibrant tech industry and bustling port, serves as a pivotal gateway to various cities in Washington and Oregon. The new Manila-Seattle route will operate three times weekly, offering convenient departures and connecting travelers to major U.S. cities through PAL’s airline partners.

Additionally, the flights provide seamless connectivity to PAL’s extensive domestic and regional international network, enhancing travel options for passengers.

PAL will deploy Boeing 777-300ER aircraft for the Manila-Seattle services, featuring full-flat seats in Business Class and PAL’s renowned inflight service showcasing Filipino and Western culinary delights.

As part of its fleet modernization efforts, PAL has acquired additional aircraft, with plans to introduce nine brand new Airbus A350-1000s starting in the fourth quarter of 2025.

To celebrate the launch of the Manila-Seattle service, PAL is offering special introductory all-in roundtrip fares starting at USD 771 for Economy Class and USD 3,071 for Business Class.
