Fastest EVM blockchain goes live!

Layer 1 blockchain Kaia has officially launched its mainnet on August 29, 2024. This initiative includes the Kaia Wave builder support program, developed in collaboration with LINE NEXT, to enhance web3 service adoption.

Kaia, formed from the merger of Klaytn and Finschia, aims to establish a significant web3 ecosystem with over 400 partners. The mainnet is touted as the fastest EVM blockchain, featuring one-second finality and ultra-low gas fees.

Developers can utilize the NEXT WEB SDK to create LINE Mini Dapps, integrating seamlessly within the LINE messenger. The support program offers up to $1.2 million in resources for eligible teams.

Dr. Sam Seo, Chairman of Kaia DLT Foundation, emphasized that this launch marks a pivotal moment for blockchain services. Youngsu Ko, CEO of LINE NEXT, highlighted its potential to expand the Asian web3 ecosystem.

With a combined user base of 250 million from LINE and Kakaotalk, Kaia is poised to attract significant developer interest and consumer engagement.
