Digital Financial Tools Launch in Siargao: Buhayin & Bitget Collaboration

Advocacy agency Buhayin has partnered with Bitget Wallet and Bitget to promote financial and digital inclusion in Siargao, starting with the Kapit-Isla Siargao island fiesta from March 12 to 16, 2025.

The collaboration will introduce local businesses and residents to blockchain-based financial tools and provide digital literacy programs focused on decentralized finance (DeFi).

A key initiative under this partnership is the launch of PayFi, Bitget Wallet’s new payment system, allowing local businesses to accept stablecoins and digital assets for instant transactions.

Kapit-Isla Week will feature events such as Run for the Islands, a community forum, a local marketplace, and a barangay fiesta-inspired party to support local businesses and cultural exchange.

Buhayin aims to expand Kapit-Isla to more island destinations in the Philippines, with Dumaguete as the next stop in July 2025, further advancing digital empowerment in underserved communities.

Bitget Wallet supports this initiative by providing digital payment solutions to enhance financial accessibility and promote cryptocurrency adoption.
