State Grid Taizhou Turns Lei Feng’s Legacy Into PR Stunt or Genuine Service?

State Grid Taizhou Power Supply Company organized a volunteer event on March 5 to honor the 62nd Lei Feng Memorial Day and the 26th China Youth Volunteers Service Day.

The event, themed “Carry forward the Spirit of Lei Feng and Light up the Light of Civilization,” featured young volunteers sharing Lei Feng’s stories and providing practical services to the public.

Held at the “Electric Warmth” Urban Service Center in Jiangyan district, the event included interactive storytelling, reenactments, and an exhibition of Lei Feng-themed stamps and postcards.

Volunteers acted as guides, explaining the history behind the collectibles while others offered appliance repairs and health services, such as blood pressure checks.

The initiative is part of State Grid’s “Power Love Volunteer Service” program, with the company committing to ongoing community support through key service projects.
