Hunt and Iffland Win Big in Red Bull Cliff Diving Season Opener in the Philippines – TBC News

Gary Hunt and Rhiannan Iffland claimed victory at the 2025 Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series season opener in El Nido, Philippines.
Hunt, returning as a wildcard after a break for the Olympics, won the men’s competition with a stunning Back 3 Somersaults 4 Twists Free dive in the final round.
Mexico’s Jonathan Paredes finished second, and Romania’s Constantin Popovici secured third, marking the oldest podium in Red Bull Cliff Diving history.
In the women’s event, Iffland dominated, securing her 42nd career victory in 52 starts and reinforcing her quest for a ninth straight King Kahekili Trophy.
Kaylea Arnett of the U.S. took second place, while Ukrainian Nelli Chukanivska finished third.
The event showcased daring dives off the cliffs surrounding Lagen Island, with Popovici and Iffland earning bonus championship points for their best dives of the competition.
The next stop in the World Series will be in Polignano a Mare, Italy, at the end of June.
