Crypto Chaos: Paris Teens Try to Go Full Narcos on Bitcoin Billionaires

French prosecutors have charged 25 individuals, including six minors, over a string of attempted kidnappings targeting wealthy cryptocurrency figures.
Eighteen suspects are now in pre-trial detention, with others under judicial supervision or awaiting hearings.
The plot includes a failed daylight abduction in Paris on May 13 involving the daughter and grandson of Paymium CEO Pierre Noizat.
Surveillance footage shows masked assailants attacking Noizat’s family, who escaped with minor injuries thanks to a bystander’s fire extinguisher.
Authorities uncovered further failed plans, including a foiled kidnapping near Nantes earlier this week.
The suspects, aged 16 to 23, allegedly range from hired muscle to logistical planners, some reportedly lured by quick money.
Many were born in France, with others hailing from Senegal, Angola, and Russia.
The case follows the brutal January kidnapping of Ledger co-founder David Balland, whose finger was cut off during ransom demands.
France’s interior ministry has since pledged tighter security for crypto elites amid fears of escalating organized crime.
