Lenovo Tops Gartner’s Asia-Pacific Supply Chain Rankings for Fourth Year, Climbs in Global List

Lenovo has once again claimed the No. 1 position in the Gartner Asia/Pacific Supply Chain Top 10 for 2025, marking its fourth consecutive year leading the region’s most efficient and resilient supply chains.
The recognition underscores Lenovo’s continued dominance in supply chain excellence across the Asia-Pacific region, where companies are increasingly evaluated based on adaptability, digital innovation, and sustainability.
Lenovo also climbed to No. 8 in Gartner’s Global Supply Chain Top 25, moving up two spots from its 2024 ranking and solidifying its position as a global leader in operations and logistics.
The rankings reflect Lenovo’s consistent focus on integrating artificial intelligence, enhancing infrastructure, and reinforcing its sustainability commitments under its “Lenovo powers Lenovo” strategy.
This approach emphasizes using Lenovo’s own advanced technologies and solutions to improve its internal operations, from manufacturing and logistics to risk management and customer service.
A key component of Lenovo’s operational strength lies in its global manufacturing footprint, which spans more than 30 sites across 11 markets and supports customers in over 180 countries.
In a strategic move to boost its supply chain resilience and shorten delivery cycles, Lenovo announced plans to expand manufacturing operations into Saudi Arabia to better serve the Middle East and Africa (MEA) markets.
This expansion not only enhances regional responsiveness but also positions Lenovo to tap into growing demand in emerging markets amid ongoing global supply disruptions.
Lenovo’s supply chain transformation is driven by AI-powered tools that optimize decision-making in real-time.
Among the innovations is a newly developed system that detects logistical disruptions, such as congested transportation routes, and instantly proposes alternative solutions based on cost-efficiency and availability.
Such tools are designed to proactively manage risks, boost speed and accuracy, and empower Lenovo’s global teams to respond swiftly to changing market conditions.
In an official statement, Amar Babu, President of Lenovo Asia Pacific, highlighted the significance of the recognition, saying that Lenovo’s steady ascent in global rankings demonstrates its commitment to innovation and resilience.
“Our AI-powered operations and sustainability-first mindset are helping customers and partners gain an operational edge in a dynamic world,” Babu said.
Lenovo has also made notable strides in circular innovation, a key evaluation criterion in Gartner’s 2025 rankings, especially in the Asia-Pacific region where sustainability is increasingly prioritized.
The company has incorporated recycled materials into more than 298 product lines, including carbon fiber sourced from aircraft manufacturing waste.
In addition, Lenovo has advanced its packaging designs by using eco-friendly materials such as sugar cane and bamboo to reduce environmental impact.
These initiatives align with global sustainability goals and demonstrate Lenovo’s proactive approach to responsible product development.
In Gartner’s 2025 High Tech Top 10 list, which focuses on technology-specific supply chains, Lenovo ranked third, further validating its leadership among industry peers.
Industry analysts note that supply chain transformation through AI and sustainability is becoming a critical differentiator in a post-pandemic economy, where agility and resilience are essential.
A 2024 report from McKinsey & Company emphasized that companies investing in AI-based supply chain tools and regionalized manufacturing hubs are outperforming competitors in both cost control and customer satisfaction.
Gartner’s rankings are based on a combination of quantitative data such as financial metrics and ESG performance, alongside qualitative assessments from analysts and peer reviews.
Lenovo’s top placement reflects a well-rounded performance across these categories, driven by long-term investments in technology and environmental responsibility.
As global supply chains continue to face geopolitical tensions, natural disasters, and evolving consumer demands, Lenovo’s consistent presence at the top of the Asia-Pacific list signals a durable and future-ready operating model.
With its upward momentum in global rankings and continued investments in AI and sustainability, Lenovo is positioning itself not just as a tech giant but as a blueprint for modern supply chain excellence.
