Trend Micro Launches Cybersecurity Digital Twin Tech, Industry Calls It a Game-Changer

Trend Micro has unveiled its new Digital Twin-powered cyber resilience platform, aiming to revolutionize how organizations simulate and defend against threats in real time.
The new solution uses agentic AI and NVIDIA-powered infrastructure to replicate an organization’s systems, allowing continuous testing of security policies without risking live operations.
The company said this model empowers enterprises to shift from periodic security checks to real-time, AI-driven simulations that adapt to evolving threats.
Security experts are taking notice.
Frank Dickson, Group VP for Security & Trust at IDC, said the shift to simulation-based security marks a major leap forward, especially for sensitive OT environments where even testing can be disruptive.
He emphasized that organizations now have a way to expose vulnerabilities without taking production systems offline.
Healthcare IT leaders are also praising the technology.
Stuart Samples, CTO at Northeast Georgia Health System, shared that the Digital Twin platform allows their team to uncover risks they didn’t even know existed.
He added that it frees them from constant firefighting and enables them to refocus on innovation and resilience planning.
The system simulates data flow, decision-making, and failure ripple effects across IT and OT, providing organizations a real-time lens into risk and response readiness.
Industry observers see this as timely.
With threat actors evolving rapidly through AI, traditional cybersecurity strategies are struggling to keep up.
Rachel Jin, Trend Micro’s Chief Enterprise Platform Officer, said companies are grappling with complex infrastructures and need tools that go beyond outdated point-in-time risk assessments.
The announcement follows Trend’s recent move to open source its Cybertron AI agent framework and expand its work into protecting generative AI workloads.
The launch reflects Trend Micro’s growing focus on predictive security models that unify visibility across cloud, legacy, and next-gen environments.
Analysts believe the Digital Twin model could become foundational in how future enterprises approach proactive, continuous defense.
