5 Reasons Vingroup’s First-Class Labor Order is a Game-Changer for Vietnam

Vingroup has just received Vietnam’s First-Class Labor Order for completing the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Hanoi, a project that is now one of the world’s largest venues of its kind. Here are five reasons this recognition matters.
1. A record-breaking construction timeline
The center was finished 15 months ahead of schedule, with construction wrapped up in just 10 months. This speed set a new benchmark in Vietnam’s construction industry, proving the strength of local project management and execution.
2. One of the world’s biggest exhibition hubs
Covering 900,000 square meters, the venue ranks among the global top ten largest exhibition complexes. It puts Hanoi on the international map for trade fairs, conventions, and cultural gatherings.
3. Home to the world’s largest circular exhibition hall
At the heart of the project stands the Kim Quy Exhibition Hall, a 130,000-square-meter circular structure with a central height of 56 meters. Its steel dome weighs 24,000 tons, making it an engineering wonder inspired by Vietnam’s Golden Turtle God legend.
4. Built for world-class events
Beyond the main hall, the complex includes outdoor plazas, an international convention center, landscaped green parks, lakes, and expansive parking. With capacity for hundreds of thousands, it is designed to host everything from national festivals to global concerts and exhibitions.
5. A symbol of national pride
The award comes just in time for Vietnam’s 80th National Day celebrations. The center will debut with the National Achievements Exhibition, where provinces, ministries, and enterprises from across the country will gather in one historic showcase.
Vingroup’s achievement is not only an architectural milestone but also a statement of Vietnam’s growing influence in the global MICE industry. The First-Class Labor Order cements the company’s role as a key driver of the country’s socio-economic growth.
