Push Laundry: Empowering PWDs through Sustainable Employment

LG Electronics Philippines officially launched the Push Laundry livelihood project for persons with disabilities in Manila through a partnership with House with No Steps Foundation, ELS and BigZe Corporation.
The social enterprise was established to provide sustainable livelihood opportunities for persons with disabilities while formally transitioning earlier inclusive employment efforts into a fully operational laundry business.
The initiative positions Push Laundry as a working livelihood project that directly supports employment, training and development programs for its PWD beneficiaries through business-generated income.
Laundry revenues are structured to fund jobs for persons with disabilities, skills development initiatives and the long-term operational sustainability of the program.
The collaboration brings together the House with No Steps Foundation as the organization advocating for and supporting persons with disabilities, ELS providing the business framework and partnership direction, BigZe Corporation overseeing daily shop management and service delivery, and LG Electronics Philippines supplying commercial laundry equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
One of the foundation’s buildings in Cubao, Quezon City was renovated and converted into a commercial laundry facility designed to serve as a sustainable livelihood hub managed by the foundation with operational support from BigZe Corporation.
The project is intended to give persons with disabilities an active role in the workforce within their own community while demonstrating that inclusive business models can achieve both commercial viability and measurable social impact.
LG Electronics Philippines, through its commercial laundry solutions, supports the shop’s daily operations with equipment designed to deliver reliable, efficient and flexible performance accessible to PWD workers.
Organizers said the enterprise is designed as a replicable model that interested dealers and subdealers may adopt using Push Laundry as a template for combining commercial services with a social mission.
The launch marks a milestone in the partners’ continuing collaboration to expand accessible and inclusive livelihood opportunities across local communities while sustaining the foundation’s programs through business income.
