Congressman admits to being a thirsty simp?

Rep. Bong Suntay apologized for making a lewd remark about actress Anne Curtis during a House hearing but maintained that his statement was not malicious and was intended to illustrate a point.
The Quezon City representative issued the apology after several lawmakers and Curtis’ sister, Jasmine Curtis-Smith, criticized the comment as inappropriate, particularly as it was delivered during Women’s Month observances.
Suntay said in a radio interview that while he regretted that some people were offended, he stood by the analogy and opposed removing it from the official record because it was made to emphasize his argument.
The remarks were delivered during a House committee on justice hearing on impeachment complaints against Sara Duterte, where Suntay questioned the basis of the third complaint alleging political destabilization, sedition and insurrection.
He argued that some accusations stemmed solely from Duterte’s presence at events where Ferdinand Marcos Jr. was criticized rather than from any direct unlawful action.
Suntay said Duterte could not be held liable for sedition for merely attending a rally and asserted that describing herself as a designated survivor was not a criminal act because unenforceable statements or personal thoughts cannot be penalized.
To illustrate his point, Suntay recounted seeing Curtis at a commercial establishment and admitted to imagining scenarios involving her, stressing that such private thoughts could not be subject to criminal charges.
