Cebu Landmasters Sells 1,000 Solar Homes in 3 Days—Because Climate Guilt Now Comes with a Mortgage

Cebu Landmasters has unveiled Casa Mira Homes GenSan, the country’s first solar-integrated economic housing project, and somehow sold 85% of its 1,218 units in just three days.
Located in Barangay Lagao, General Santos City, the 21-hectare development reeled in Php 4.3 billion in reservation sales, proving once again that sustainability sells—especially when it’s wrapped in the promise of lower Meralco bills.
Each unit in this so-called green utopia comes solar-ready, with select models like Calla and Cora featuring built-in 2.2 kW panels capable of storing up to 5 kWh—allegedly slashing monthly bills by up to Php 3,000, assuming you don’t use air-conditioning like a normal person.
The homes also offer water-saving fixtures, rainwater tanks, and “natural lighting,” which, believe it or not, means they remembered to add windows.
The community boasts 60% open space with pools, a clubhouse, and a basketball court—because nothing screams sustainability like concrete recreation zones and chlorinated water.
Its prime location near hospitals, malls, and the soon-to-rise University of Santo Tomas GenSan supposedly makes it the complete package for Filipino families chasing the eco-dream on a budget.
Casa Mira Homes GenSan marks the 18th project under CLI’s Casa Mira brand, which has aggressively plastered its name across Visayas and Mindanao like a solar-powered monopoly.
Cebu Landmasters, now trying to conquer Luzon too with a new Makati office, is riding high as the top developer in VisMin, according to the 2024 Colliers study—because what better measure of success than selling out houses with rooftop panels in a heat-stricken economy?
CLI claims this launch cements its commitment to sustainable and affordable housing, a message clearly absorbed by over a thousand hopeful homeowners desperate to save the planet one discounted electric bill at a time.
