LG Electronics is set to unveil its 2026 AI TV lineup at IFA 2026 in Berlin, Germany, running from September 4–8.

Designed to function as personalized entertainment platforms, the new screens recognize individual viewers, process context, and proactively suggest applications, shows, and system settings.

The center of the 2026 lineup is the α11 AI Processor Gen3. Originally introduced on the LG OLED evo series, the updated engine now extends to LG’s ultra-large Micro RGB evo TVs. The processor delivers a 5.6-fold improvement in NPU performance along with enhanced CPU and GPU capabilities. These hardware upgrades power AI Dual 4K Upscaling—a process combining two distinct AI methods to refine lower-resolution video—and upscale sound to virtual 11.1.2 channels via AI Sound Pro.

Tom’s Guide recognized the α11 AI Processor at its AI Awards 2026, highlighting its ability to solve practical performance challenges. In evaluating its color-banding reduction, Tom’s Guide noted, “While most of the other TVs we compared it to showed the red light as stripes, the LG OLED TV rendered the scene naturally.”

Beyond hardware refinements, the 2026 lineup introduces three core personalization utilities on webOS 26:

  • Voice ID: Identifies unique user voices to load individual profiles and deliver customized media suggestions. For instance, asking, “Do you have any movies you can recommend?” yields tailored film results.
  • AI Chatbot: Interprets conversational descriptions of technical issues and guides users through solutions. Stating, “The screen is too dark,” prompts the system to identify the precise setting error and display step-by-step resolution steps.
  • AI Concierge: Tracks viewing history to display relevant search terms, content, and features in a pop-up card format triggered via the remote’s dedicated AI button.

System operations and user data across the platform are protected by LG Shield, an integrated security architecture for webOS. Honored at the CES 2026 Innovation Awards in the Cybersecurity category, the system relies on seven core technologies: secure algorithms, secure data storage, secure data transmission, user authentication, software integrity assurance, secure updates, and security event detection. The multi-layered framework guards against data leakage, unauthorized system access, and malicious tampering.

LG is also pairing the hardware with up to five years of complimentary webOS upgrades to deliver post-purchase feature updates.

“We are committed to bringing the next generation of AI-driven home entertainment to everyone, ensuring that our entire TV lineup delivers a truly AI TV experience,” said Park Hyoung-sei, president of the LG Media Entertainment Solution Company. “From picture quality to security to highly personalized user experiences, every AI-driven feature is designed to enrich and expand what you can do on LG TV – and IFA 2026 is where people can see these innovations in action.”

Attendees can view and test the 2026 AI TV lineup at LG’s booth in Hall 18 at Messe Berlin during the event.
