Nissan Kicks New Philippines

Nissan Philippines has officially launched the next-generation Nissan Kicks e-POWER, introducing an updated design, higher performance, and advanced driver-assistance technology to its electrified subcompact SUV line.

Four years after bringing the original Kicks to the Philippine market, the updated crossover arrives with a self-charging powertrain that uses a 1.2-liter three-cylinder gasoline engine solely to generate electricity for its electric motor. The electric motor directly drives the wheels, generating 136 PS and 280 Nm of torque to deliver a full EV driving feel without requiring drivers to use plug-in charging stations.

The core addition to the new generation is the integration of Nissan ProPILOT, a semi-autonomous driver-assistance suit designed to reduce highway driving stress. ProPILOT manages steering, acceleration, and braking using Intelligent Lane Keep Assist and Intelligent Cruise Control. For heavy urban commutes, the system includes Traffic Jam Assist, allowing the vehicle to automatically stop and resume driving with traffic flow.

Nissan has also equipped the crossover with 12 additional active safety features, including:

  • Intelligent Forward Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection
  • Blind Spot Warning with Blind Spot Intervention
  • Lane Departure Warning and Prevention
  • Rear Automatic Emergency Braking
  • Intelligent Around View Monitor with Moving Object Detection
  • Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Tire Pressure Monitoring System
  • Leading Car Departure Notification, High Beam Assist, and Driver Attention Alert

Visually, the crossover debuts a updated front end with Nissan’s signature V-Motion grille and triple-arrow Daytime Running Lights. The rear features new hexagon-shaped tail lamps and wider, longer-range headlamps for improved night visibility.

Inside the cabin, the Kicks e-POWER features a 12.3-inch Display Audio system with Wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a complimentary three-year subscription to NissanConnect Services. Comfort upgrades include anti-heat leather upholstery over Nissan Zero Gravity seats, a 6-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, and optimized rear seating with an integrated center armrest.

“The Philippines is an important market for Nissan, and we are grateful for the trust Filipino customers continue to place in our brand,” said Nissan Philippines President Yoshinori Kanazawa. “The All-New Nissan Kicks e-POWER represents a new chapter for a nameplate that has become familiar to Filipino drivers. We are excited to introduce this new generation and invite customers to discover the new Nissan Kicks that are made for those who are ready to explore and Live Daring.”

The model is offered in three distinct trims, with promotional pricing valid through September 30, 2026:

  • VE: ₱1,499,000
  • VL: ₱1,649,000
  • LE Plus: ₱1,749,000

Exterior paint options include Aquamarine Metallic, Gun Metallic, Pearl White, and Moon Pearl Gray. The top-tier LE Plus variant offers an exclusive two-tone option featuring a Black Roof alongside a Moonstone interior finish, whereas the VE and VL variants feature standard black interiors.

Early buyers receive a one-year Nissan Protect+ package covering prepaid maintenance, genuine fluids, and certified servicing. Alongside the production vehicles, Nissan unveiled a custom “Kicks by Quiccs” build created in partnership with Filipino contemporary artist Quiccs.

Public test drives and displays run through August 30 at the Glorietta Palm Drive Activity Center in Manila.
