Engkanto Brewery is making waves with its ambitious foray into renewable energy.
The brewery has partnered with AboitizPower Distributed Renewables Inc. (APx) to install a state-of-the-art 97.09 kWp solar panel system at its facility in Carmona, Cavite.
This collaboration underscores both companies’ unwavering commitment to sustainability through innovative energy solutions.
APx has been pivotal in providing distributed energy solutions to commercial enterprises, aligning with AboitizPower’s mission to promote renewable energy.
“This partnership enhances operational efficiency while championing sustainability in the craft beer sector,” said James Byron Yu, First Vice President of AdventEnergy.
Engkanto’s solar installation is projected to generate 130,293 kWh in its first year and approximately 2.6 million kWh over the 20-year contract term.
This initiative will significantly reduce the brewery’s reliance on traditional energy sources and lower its carbon footprint.
“This marks a pivotal moment in our quest for quality brewing while supporting environmental stewardship,” stated Ian Paradies, Founder of Engkanto Brewery.
With October celebrated as Beer Month, this initiative amplifies its significance within the craft beer community.
