Apple is planning a major redesign for iOS, iPadOS, and macOS, reportedly drawing inspiration from the Vision Pro’s visionOS, according to Bloomberg.
The overhaul, set to debut with iOS 19, iPadOS 19, and macOS 16, will refresh icons, menus, apps, windows, and system buttons for a more streamlined, consistent user experience across Apple devices.
This redesign is expected to be the most significant update for macOS since Big Sur and the biggest for iOS since iOS 7, though Apple has no plans to merge its operating systems.
Apple is likely to reveal the updates at its Worldwide Developers Conference, typically held in June, though the exact date has yet to be confirmed.
