TCL Philippines has rolled out its latest residential air conditioning lineup featuring proprietary T-AI Energy Saving technology, delivering up to 37% higher power efficiency and hourly running costs starting at just ₱2.00, according to independent tests by the Meralco Power Lab.
Designed to help local households maintain a dry, comfortable indoor environment during high-humidity weather without driving up monthly utility bills, the new lineup integrates smart algorithms that continuously read room conditions to optimize cooling output and eliminate electrical waste.

Meralco Power Lab Certification Assures Consumer Transparency
To validate its efficiency claims, TCL submitted its core residential units to the Meralco Power Lab for independent, real-world energy consumption testing. The testing facility, launched in January 2015, provides accurate operating cost data and power-saving insights on market-available appliances.

According to the Meralco Power Lab test outputs, hourly operating costs for the certified models break down as follows:
- FreshIN 3.0 (1.5HP model): Operates for as low as ₱2.00 per hour, featuring an A+++ energy rating, advanced filtration, and updated T-AI algorithms.
- VoxIN (1.5HP model): Operates for as low as ₱3.18 per hour, combining voice-controlled operation, Gentle Breeze air dispersion, and an A+++ energy rating.
- BreezeIN+ (2HP model): Operates for as low as ₱4.55 per hour, built with an Air-cooled E-box to sustain strong cooling in extreme outdoor heat up to 60°C.
Variable Factors and Operating Conditions
While the Meralco Power Lab provides precision testing in controlled laboratory settings and its Intelligent Living Space (ILS) environment, actual electricity consumption and running expenses vary based on real-world usage habits, appliance condition, environmental factors, and prevailing electricity rates.
The facility notes that elevated ambient temperatures naturally raise running costs as cooling systems work longer to maintain target temperatures. Meralco Power Lab test outputs serve as educational insights and do not constitute an official product endorsement or lifetime performance guarantee.
