  • AI Agents: Wallet Hijackers?

    AI Agents: Wallet Hijackers?

Google logo displayed on a sign, featuring the iconic multicolored letters against a white background.

Google Cloud has unveiled the Agent Payments Protocol (AP2), an open standard designed to securely enable AI agent-led payments across platforms. Developed with over 60 partners, including major Southeast Asian players like Shopee, Lazada, and Razer, as well as global giants like Mastercard, American Express, and Coinbase, AP2 sets a new global benchmark for autonomous transactional trust.

As AI agents increasingly transact on behalf of users, AP2 solves critical security challenges by introducing tamper-proof “Mandates” — cryptographically signed contracts that verify user authorization, ensure authenticity, and establish accountability in agent-driven payments.

This protocol supports diverse payment methods, from credit cards to stablecoins, and creates a seamless, auditable transaction trail from user intent to payment.

Industry leaders emphasize AP2’s role in ushering a secure, interoperable era for agentic commerce. It unlocks innovative scenarios like personalized, automated shopping, time-sensitive offers, and coordinated multi-agent bookings. Its flexibility extends to emerging Web3 payments, with collaboration from MetaMask, Ethereum Foundation, and Coinbase.

Google invites the technology ecosystem to join its open, evolving GitHub repository to expand AP2’s applications, making it a cornerstone for the booming global AI-driven commerce landscape expected to exceed trillions in transaction volume by 2030.

  • Zayn Accused of Clout-Chasing After Jisoo Reveal

Zayn Accused of Clout-Chasing After Jisoo Reveal

A split-image collage featuring Zayn Malik on the left, wearing a white shirt and serious expression outdoors, and Jisoo from BLACKPINK on the right, showcasing her in a stylish plaid outfit adorned with jewelry against a neon backdrop.

Global music fans are in a frenzy after K-pop icon Jisoo of BLACKPINK and British singer Zayn Malik confirmed their long-rumored collaboration single, “EYES CLOSED,” set for digital release on October 10.

The internet buzz began when Jisoo posted a mysterious Instagram photo featuring her silhouette alongside an unidentified man, teasing, “A duet is near.” A follow-up image showing the same man’s back — marked with a rose tattoo on his neck — sent fans into detective mode, quickly linking the clue to Malik.

Korean media later fueled speculation after Zayn was spotted at a BLACKPINK concert, adding weight to the collab rumors. The duo finally broke their silence on Thursday by dropping a cinematic teaser for the “EYES CLOSED” music video, which premieres the same day as the track.

Jisoo is currently on BLACKPINK’s “Deadline” world tour, which will arrive in the Philippines this November. Meanwhile, Zayn is reportedly finalizing his next studio album, described as a mix of R&B and Indian musical influences — marking his boldest sonic evolution since Mind of Mine.

Fans worldwide are calling the collab “the biggest East-West crossover of 2025.”

In the background, a screen displays details about the award and statistics related to YouTube's market dominance in SEA.

YouTube has cemented its dominance in Southeast Asia, emerging as the region’s top video platform and the undisputed leader in marketing return on investment (ROI), outperforming TikTok, Meta, and even traditional TV.

According to new data from Kantar and Analytic Edge presented at the 2025 YouTube Works Awards SEA, YouTube now delivers more than double the ROI of linear television and at least 1.2 times higher ROI than other digital platforms. In the Philippines, Nielsen found it’s nearly four times more effective than TV and almost three times more effective than rival online media.

Trust in YouTube creators also eclipses competitors, with 90% of Filipinos, 88% of Thais, and 86% of Indonesians expressing confidence in the platform’s influencers—far above market averages.

The 2025 YouTube Works Awards celebrated this success by honoring campaigns that combined creativity with measurable business impact. Thailand’s Dutchie Yogurt bagged the Grand Prix for its viral “Fight For Thais’ Gut” campaign, while the Philippines’ GCash made history as the first local brand to win on the SEA stage for its humorous yet hard-hitting cybersecurity campaign, GSafeTayo.

With record-breaking engagement, strong brand trust, and unparalleled ad performance, YouTube has officially become Southeast Asia’s marketing powerhouse.

  • 2025 Volleyball World Championship: Italy Reigns Supreme Again

2025 Volleyball World Championship: Italy Reigns Supreme Again

A male volleyball player prepares to serve, with the text 'WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP 2025' displayed prominently in the background.

From September 12 to 28, the Philippines hosted the 21st Volleyball World Championship for men’s national teams. 1xBet, an official partner of Volleyball World, sums up the results of this thrilling competition.

In 2025, the tournament featured 32 teams for the first time — eight more than in previous editions. All participants in the group stage were divided into eight groups:

Group A: Philippines, Iran, Egypt, Tunisia
Group B: Poland, Netherlands, Qatar, Romania
Group C: France, Argentina, Finland, South Korea
Group D: USA, Cuba, Portugal, Colombia
Group E: Slovenia, Germany, Bulgaria, Chile
Group F: Italy, Ukraine, Belgium, Algeria
Group G: Japan, Canada, Turkey, Libya
Group H: Brazil, Serbia, Czech Republic, China

After three rounds, the top two teams from each group advanced to the Round of 16. The playoff then followed the standard knockout format — quarterfinals, semifinals, a third-place match, and the grand final. Previously, the World Championship was held once every four years in even-numbered years. Starting from 2025, it is now staged every two years, in odd-numbered ones.

The group stage delivered several shocks. Cuba and Japan, both considered favorites, fell short and finished third in their respective groups. France, the reigning Olympic champion, performed poorly, losing two of their three matches. Brazil, the former world champion and a perennial powerhouse, stumbled against Serbia in their decisive game and missed the playoffs altogether. Meanwhile, teams like Portugal, the Czech Republic, Canada, Belgium, and Finland managed to impress fans with their unexpected success.

The knockout phase produced several surprises. In the Round of 16, Serbia fell to Iran in a five-set thriller. In the quarterfinals, the United States took the first two sets against Bulgaria but completely lost momentum, allowing their rivals to make a comeback and clinch victory in the decisive fifth set. In the second semifinal, Poland was seen as a slight favorite against Italy. The Polish team has been on a strong run in recent years — silver medalists at both the 2022 World Championship and the Paris Olympics. In the Philippines, Poland had been nearly flawless, dropping just two sets in five matches. But when it mattered most, they faltered — the Italians fought back fiercely and won in straight sets (25:21, 25:22, 25:23).

In the bronze medal match, Poland comfortably defeated the Czech Republic (25:18, 23:25, 25:22, 25:21), securing their place on the podium. The final, held on September 28, featured Bulgaria against Italy. Odds from 1xBet clearly showed who was favored to win: 5.40 for Bulgaria and just 1.14 for Italy. The only question left for fans was whether the reigning champions would claim another title in straight sets.

Italy took the first two sets with confidence (25:21, 25:17), but Bulgaria managed to strike back in the third (25:17). However, in the fourth, the underdogs couldn’t keep up — Italy dominated 25:10 to close the match. Middle blocker Simone Anzani sealed the championship point with a thunderous spike before 20,000 fans at the Mall of Asia ArenaAlessandro Micheletto, who played a crucial role in that final rally, was named MVP of the tournament.

Italy successfully defended their title, becoming five-time World Champions and reaffirming their dominance in global volleyball.

  • Davis Cup 2025: Qualifiers Deliver Drama and Set the Stage for Bologna

Davis Cup 2025: Qualifiers Deliver Drama and Set the Stage for Bologna

A male tennis player in a white shirt holds a racket and a tennis ball, standing on a blue tennis court with empty stadium seats in the background. The image features 'TBC' in large black letters on the left side.

In this 1xBet review, we take a look at the men’s teams that sensationally reached the Top 8.

On September 12–13, the second qualifying round of the 113th Davis Cup took place. Live broadcasts of all 14 national team matches were available for free on the 1xBet platform. The winners of the seven ties secured their places in the Final 8 — the decisive team tennis tournament of the season, scheduled for November 18–23 at the Bologna Fiere exhibition center.

Hungary vs Austria: Everything Decided in the Final Match

On September 12, players from these neighboring countries faced each other for the first time in Davis Cup history. Hungary entered as clear favorites, with odds of 1.24 on an overall victory. The numbers seemed justified: their leaders, Fabian Marozsan and Marton Fucsovics, were ranked 55th and 58th in the ATP rankings.

But both reliable performers of modern tennis lost in three sets to their Austrian rivals. Marozsan fell to Jurij Rodionov (ATP No.157), while Fucsovics was defeated by Lukas Neumayer (No.174).

In doubles, Fabian Marozsan and Zsombor Piros fought hard and edged Alexander Erler and Lucas Miedler in two tie-breaks. In the fourth rubber, Piros battled past Neumayer to level the score. It all came down to a deciding fifth match between Fucsovics and Rodionov — and the Hungarian failed to deliver, losing both sets outright (2–6, 1–6).

USA vs Czech Republic: Experience vs Youth

The Czech Republic currently boasts a very promising generation of singles players. Jiri Lehecka, Jakub Mensik, and Tomas Machac are consistently inside the world’s Top 30, with the oldest just 24 years old. Facing them was a powerful U.S. lineup of Taylor Fritz, Frances Tiafoe, Reilly Opelka, Rajeev Ram, and Austin Krajicek. With such names, the Americans were the favorites, at 1.38 odds to win — but that prediction did not materialize.

The tie delivered plenty of twists. Lehecka was brilliant against both Fritz and Tiafoe. The experienced doubles team of Ram and Krajicek prevailed over the younger Machac and Mensik. Fritz added another point for the U.S., outclassing Mensik.

In the decisive fifth match, everything depended on Tiafoe and Mensik. The young Czech dominated: Tiafoe dropped the first set 1–6 and never recovered, losing the second 4–6.

Australia vs Belgium: Bravo, Raphael Collignon!

The storyline here echoed the previous ties: home favorites, high drama, and underdogs stealing the final point. After the first two singles matches, Australia trailed 0–2 but got on the board with a doubles win. Then world No.8 Alex de Minaur stepped up, easily defeating Zizou Bergs to even the series.

But the hero of the tie was 23-year-old Raphael Collignon. He had already impressed against de Minaur in the opening match, and in the decisive rubber he stunned Aleksandar Vukic with a commanding performance (7–6, 6–2, 6–3).

    Final 8: Schedule and Format

Joining Austria, the Czech Republic, and Belgium in Bologna are Spain, France, Argentina, and Germany. Host nation Italy also enters directly — the Italians have claimed the last two Davis Cup titles.

On the 1xBet Indonesia platform, the quarterfinal pairings are as follows:

    • France vs Belgium – November 18
    • Italy vs Austria – November 19
    • Spain vs Czech Republic – November 20
    • Argentina vs Germany – November 20

The winners of the first two ties meet in the semifinals on November 21, while the winners of the other two play on November 22. The Davis Cup 2025 final will take place on November 23.

  • China Is About to Boil the Oceans for the Internet

China Is About to Boil the Oceans for the Internet

A split image featuring a smiling man in a suit on the left and a futuristic underwater data center with visible servers and cooling units on the right, submerged in ocean water.

China is preparing to sink its first commercial underwater data centre off the coast of Shanghai this October, sparking fears that the world’s oceans could soon become the dumping ground for Big Tech’s energy obsession.

While Chinese officials boast about “energy savings” and “green innovation,” critics warn this experiment could unleash catastrophic consequences for marine life, climate stability, and even global security.

On a wharf in Nantong, workers are assembling a massive yellow capsule that will house servers for state-backed companies like China Telecom and an artificial intelligence firm. Once submerged, ocean currents will keep the servers cool, reducing the need for traditional power-hungry air conditioning. Developers claim the technology will slash cooling energy use by up to 90 percent.

But beneath the corporate slogans and government subsidies lies a terrifying truth: humanity has no idea what flooding the seas with artificial heat and electromagnetic signals will do to fragile ecosystems.
