
Quantum Computing Inc. will debut an integrated quantum security platform that combines encryption and hardware-based identity authentication into a single system at the ECOC Exhibition 2026 in Málaga, Spain.
Demonstrating live from Booth #1436 at FYCMA from September 21–23, the company will highlight quantum communication solutions built on time-frequency and polarization-based approaches.
The exhibition marks a broader transition for quantum technologies as they move from pure research and development toward practical deployments for real-world optical infrastructure.
Unlike conventional hardware setups that treat key distribution and identity verification separately, the entanglement-based platform pairs Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) with Quantum Identity Authentication (QIA).
This architecture addresses vulnerabilities beyond cryptographic key exchanges by establishing verified identity and trust directly between communicating parties.
The authentication layer relies on Quantum Zero-Knowledge Proof (QZKP) technology derived from the company’s patented invention, “Systems and Methods for Quantum-Secured, Private-Preserving Computations.” Secured by patents in the United States and over 40 other countries, the technology earned inventors Dr. Yuping Huang and Dr. Lac Nguyen the 44th Edison Patent Award.
By enabling the authentication of private information without requiring data exposure, the platform reduces reliance on classical authentication methods. It operates in a compact, room-temperature form factor and supports wavelength-multiplexed scaling across multiple network nodes.
At Booth #1436, the company’s interactive showcase will feature three main focus areas:
- Quantum-secured communications solution: A telecom-compatible system integrating QKD, hardware-based QIA, direct entanglement verification, and key management.
- Flexible quantum instrumentation & metrology: A adaptable testing platform engineered to help developers measure, validate, and transition laboratory concepts into production applications.
- Photonics components: Advanced hardware building blocks that support the company’s vertically integrated manufacturing approach for optical systems.
In addition to floor demonstrations, Quantum Computing Inc. will present at the ECOC Product Focus Theatre. Massimo Di Blasio, Director of Product Line Management and Business Development, will deliver a session titled “The Quantum Secure Solution: Quantum-authenticated communications for broad applications in security” on Wednesday, September 23, from 14:50 to 15:10. The talk will outline how quantum authentication establishes identity across networks as organizations prepare for evolving cybersecurity threats.
Highlighting the need for updated network safeguards, the company stated: “Optical communications form the foundation of the connected world, and security has to evolve alongside the networks themselves.
