Delta Electronics has launched a new AI Modular Data Center (AI MDC) and Microgrid Solution at Data Center World (DCW) Asia 2026 in Singapore, aiming to accelerate the deployment and improve the energy efficiency of high-density AI infrastructure.
Unveiled at the Marina Bay Sands Convention Centre, the prefabricated AI MDC integrates next-generation 800 VDC In-Row Power and liquid cooling systems. The system is specifically engineered to support fast deployment and scalability for data centers running on the NVIDIA Vera Rubin architecture.
To address the immense energy demands of modern AI processing, Delta’s accompanying Microgrid Solution combines renewable energy, energy storage, and Solid Oxide Fuel Cell (SOFC) systems. The microgrid utilizes Solid State Transformers (SST) to convert medium voltage power directly to 800 VDC, serving the specific requirements of future AI factories.
“AI workloads are scaling faster than most data centres were designed to handle, while their demands can be increasingly unpredictable. This means infrastructure planning must move from reactive to integrated and future-ready,” said Jason Yuan, President, Southeast Asia & ANZ, Delta Electronics. “Our AI Modular Data Centers and Microgrids, both part of our Grid-to-Chip Solutions portfolio, are ideal to help our clients across Southeast Asia deploy and power their future-ready AI data centers. Moreover, Delta’s solutions are engineered for energy efficiency, reliability and performance, while providing the flexibility to adapt to changing workloads and infrastructure demands.”
Key technical specifications of Delta’s AI infrastructure portfolio include:
- 800 VDC In-Row Power Architecture: Features 660kW output power, up to 98% AC-DC efficiency, 480kW capacity in battery backup units (BBU), and aluminum capacitors to optimize GPU workloads.
- AI Containerized Data Center (CDC) Solutions: Delivers up to 60 kW per rack of AI compute within the footprint of a single parking space. It incorporates an integrated Liquid-to-Air CDU system to achieve a Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) as low as 1.19.
- High-Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) 3.6MW In-Row CDU: Designed to manage the extreme thermal loads generated by high-density AI deployments.
- Board-Level Thermal Management: Includes a dedicated cold plate for the NVIDIA Vera Rubin NVL72, built with microchannel and multi-impinging flow designs.
The Microgrid Solution uses a prefabricated DC-coupled architecture that combines SSTs, DC/DC converters, and dynamic energy support. By reducing conversion stages, the system adapts to fluctuating AI power loads while providing continuous off-grid or grid-delayed operation. The integrated SOFC systems supply continuous 24/7 on-site power to maintain uptime and power quality.
The launch comes as operators across Southeast Asia face growing regional pressure to deploy AI infrastructure at unprecedented speed and density. Delta’s showcase at Booth D10 will highlight these technologies throughout the event, alongside a keynote by Sakda Sae-Ueng, SEA & Oceania Data Center Business Platform Head, outlining Delta’s ongoing collaboration with NVIDIA and the future 800VDC power architecture roadmap.
