Global digital business services provider TP has opened its 29th site in the Philippines, adding a new facility at the Four E-Com Center within the SM Mall of Asia complex. The operational expansion is projected to generate over 1,000 local job opportunities.

The development marks TP’s second hub in Pasay City, joining its nearby facility at the MAAX Building which houses over 5,000 customer support personnel. The new location aims to support expanding international client demand for integrated service models combining human workforces, digital infrastructure, and artificial intelligence capabilities to handle increasingly complex business activities.

“Our expansion in Pasay reflects our global clients’ continued confidence in the Philippines and in Filipino talent’s ability to thrive with technology,” said Rahul Jolly, CEO of TP in the Philippines. “AI is reshaping work while expanding what people can achieve. For TP, the opportunity is to combine AI with our people’s expertise and emotional intelligence, empowering them to take on more complex work.”

The site launch reflects broader market trends across the nation’s IT and Business Process Management (IT-BPM) industry. Recent analysis from HSBC Global Investment Research shows that predicted AI-driven contraction within the Philippine outsourcing sector has failed to materialize. Instead, export revenues and headcount have steadily climbed, with AI integration driving productivity gains, quality assurance improvements, and enhanced remote delivery frameworks.

Rather than eliminating service categories outright, industry data demonstrates that automated solutions are primarily absorbing routine tasks and basic workflows. Consequently, human personnel are shifting focus toward exception handling, analytical judgment, specialized domain knowledge, and direct supervision of AI systems.

Key performance indicators highlighted by the Information Technology and Business Process Association of the Philippines (IBPAP) illustrate this sector-wide stability:

  • Revenue generation: Reached approximately US$40.3 billion in 2025.
  • Workforce growth: Employed 1.89 million professionals nationwide in 2025.
  • Global market share: Increased the country’s share of global IT-BPM headcount from 15% in 2022 to 17% in 2025.

While scale and pricing remain core regional advantages, corporate clients are increasingly prioritizing partners that pair local talent with AI technology and specialized industry knowledge. TP’s strategy aligns with this market transition toward hybrid workforces, reallocating employee responsibilities toward high-value customer interactions, relationship management, and workflow oversight as routine processes automate.

The opening ceremony featured several regional officials and trade representatives, including Office of Pasay City Mayor Chief-of-Staff Atty. Peter Pardo, IBPAP Board of Trustee and HIMAP President JL Botor, IBPAP’s Genny Marcial, CXAP’s Roselle Guinares and Aissa Benitez, and SM Prime Holdings Vice President Alexis Ortiga.

In a recorded address played during the event, Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) Director General Theo Panga emphasized the strategic value of the expansion.

“The IT-BPM sector remains one of the strongest pillars of our economy, as we now have over 1000 registered IT BPM enterprises under PEZA. Every new hub like this one adds to that story, and reaffirms why the Philippines continues to be a top destination for global business services,” said Panga. “With this, we thank TP for your continued trust in our people and the country at PEZA. We truly value our partnership because your success is also our success, and we assure you of our commitment to supporting your operations every step of the way.”

TP has maintained a presence in the country for 30 years, employing roughly 60,000 workers across Metro Manila and key regional centers including Cebu, Bacolod, Baguio, Clark, Cagayan de Oro, Davao, Laoag, and General Santos. The firm recently earned its ninth consecutive Great Place to Work certification, marking the longest continuous streak recorded among local enterprises.
