In May 2023, the Honor 90 5G smartphone was originally unveiled in China. Since then, it has been made available in a number of nations, including the Philippines.

The N series is the company’s flagship smartphone series and is one of numerous smartphone series offered by Honor. The Honor 90 5G, the newest member of the N series, is a high-end smartphone with cutting-edge features and specifications.
The Honor smartphone brand was established in 2013 as a subsidiary of Huawei Technologies, however it was sold to Shenzhen Zhixin New Information Technology Co. in November 2020. How’s the design?

Can it game?
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset, which was released in 2022 and is based on a Samsung 4nm manufacturing process, powers the Honor 90 smartphone.
The chipset includes an octa-core architecture made up of four Cortex-A510 cores operating at up to 1.8 GHz, one Cortex-A710 CPU core operating at up to 2.5 GHz, and three more Cortex-A710 cores (Kryo Gold) operating at up to 3.36 GHz.
Adreno 644 GPU, integrated X62 5G and LTE combination modem, and FastConnect 6700 modem with Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity and dual-band Wi-Fi 6 (ax) connectivity are all features of the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset.
The Honor 90 offers NFC and supports GPS, GALILEO, GLONASS, BDS, and QZSS for locating. Because of the high native display resolution of the phone, the GPU is under increased stress. The Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset used in the Honor 90 is a significantly overclocked variant known as the “Accelerated Edition.”
The Honor 90 performs admirably in the majority of programs, however when scrolling through the app tray and toggling between several apps running in the background, it lags below similarly priced rivals.
The Honor 90 handles gaming exceptionally well, with no slowdowns or overheating while games, however it is unclear whether this is because of the processor or Honor’s MagicOS.

Can the camera shoot well?
The main camera sensor in the Honor 90 is 200MP, a major upgrade from the Honor 70’s 58MP sensor. While the 2MP depth camera has not changed from the previous year, the ultra-wide camera has been lowered to a 12MP sensor.

The phone combines the 200MP sensor’s pixels using pixel binning to produce vivid, colorful images. The digital 2x zoom still yields high-quality images without obtrusive quality loss. The focusing of the ultra-wide camera is its “secret weapon,” enabling it to function as a macro shooter as well.
Will I have to charge frequently?
The huge display on the Honor 90 may cause some people to worry about how long the battery will last, but the phone sports a sizable 5000mAh battery that offers excellent battery performance.
The phone also supports 65W wired fast charging, which can recharge 35% of the battery in only 9 minutes and charge the phone from 50% to 100% in just 17 minutes. Wireless charging is not supported by the phone, though.
Is it worth my money?
The Honor 90 5G is now for sale at a discounted price of P23,990. Among its peers, it offers the best camera performance and one of the leading models in terms of performance.
If you’re a gamer, you should take a look at the Poco F5 5G because of its Snapdragon 7 Gen 2.
If you’re a fan of the Samsung brand and can overlook sluggish performance and less optimized cameras, you should buy the Samsung Galaxy A54.
The Vivo V27 has an outdated design but is a good alternative if you’re a fan of MediaTek processors.
