Telecom Giants Launch Cross-Border Rewards Programme for Travelers Across Six Countries

Leading telecom operators in Asia – Singtel, AIS, Globe, HKT, Optus, Taiwan Mobile, and Telkomsel – have joined forces to roll out a first-of-its-kind cross-border rewards program. This program aims to enhance the travel experience for customers by allowing them to earn and use rewards, claim and redeem unique deals, and access customer support while traveling.
Anna Yip, Chief Executive Officer, Business Development, Singtel, highlighted the significance of the program, stating that it would make it easier for tourists to explore Singapore and strengthen the city-state’s reputation as an iconic destination. She also mentioned plans to expand the program to cover key travel corridors and popular destinations worldwide.
Pratthana Leelapanang, Chief Consumer Business at AIS, expressed excitement about the collaboration, noting that it set a new standard in the telecommunications industry, aiming to enhance the ultimate experience and exclusive privileges for AIS customers when traveling and using services from partner networks in six destinations.
Darius Delgado, Head, Consumer Mobile Business at Globe, noted that the program would allow customers to enjoy cross-border perks, experiences, and exclusive offers when they traveled to partner destinations.
Monita Leung, CEO of Digital Ventures, HKT, stated that the program extended privileges to travelers from the Alliance visiting Hong Kong, enriching their local travel experiences.
Matt Williams, Managing Director of Customer Solutions at Optus, expressed enthusiasm about the program, indicating that it represented a commitment to enhancing the lives of Optus customers.
Tony Lin, Chief Consumer Business Officer of Taiwan Mobile, described the program as revolutionary, offering seamless access to local data plans, convenient airport transfers, and unforgettable experiences for over ten million travelers across the Alliance’s participating telco networks.
Derrick Heng, Chief Marketing Officer at Telkomsel, explained that the program aimed to enrich the international travel experience, offering superior benefits and the opportunity to immerse oneself in unique local experiences just like a local.
