Russell Predicts McLaren’s Dominance Over Red Bull’s 2023 Run

Mercedes driver George Russell believes McLaren holds a greater performance edge in 2025 than Red Bull had during their dominant 2023 season.

Russell, who secured third place in Melbourne’s season opener, said McLaren could potentially win all 24 races this year, leaving rivals Mercedes, Red Bull, and Ferrari behind.

Lando Norris led McLaren to victory in the first race, with Red Bull’s Max Verstappen finishing second.

Russell acknowledged McLaren’s significant pace advantage but suggested mistakes from Norris and teammate Oscar Piastri could open opportunities for other teams.

Piastri’s late spin in Melbourne allowed Verstappen to claim second, helping Russell secure the final podium spot.

Russell remains hopeful Mercedes can capitalize on similar mistakes throughout the season.
