Hermès Opens Jakarta Store Inspired by Nature

Hermès has unveiled its relocated store at Plaza Indonesia mall in Jakarta, blending its signature craftsmanship with Indonesia’s rich biodiversity.
The store’s design features a wave-like façade with teal-green ceramic tiles and semi-sheer rattan screens, creating a sense of movement and organic flow.
Inside, the space showcases Hermès’ sixteen métiers, with sections dedicated to fashion jewelry, silk collections, leather goods, ready-to-wear, and home decor.
Parisian architecture agency RDAI designed the store, incorporating hand-woven wall fabrics, wood furnishings, and curated artworks, including pieces from the Émile Hermès collection and Polish artist Jan Bajtlik.
Indonesian art collective Tromarama collaborated on surreal window displays, merging Hermès’ equestrian roots with Jakarta’s dynamic rail network in whimsical travel-inspired scenes.
The new store invites visitors to explore Hermès’ creations in a setting that honors Indonesia’s natural beauty and local craftsmanship.
