Zyxel Networks has secured approval from the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) for its greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reduction targets, aligning with the 1.5°C climate goal of the Paris Agreement.
The SBTi validation marks a significant milestone in Zyxel’s environmental strategy and confirms that its roadmap to net-zero meets global scientific standards.

1. Science-Backed Targets Now Official
The SBTi has validated Zyxel Group’s near- and long-term climate targets, covering Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions across its operations and value chain.
2. Short-Term Cuts by 2030 and 2034
Zyxel aims to slash its absolute Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 42 percent by 2030, using 2021 as the baseline.
The company is also targeting a 58.8 percent reduction in Scope 3 emissions by 2034, compared to a 2023 base year.

By 2050, Zyxel intends to cut 90 percent of its Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions, demonstrating its long-range commitment to decarbonization.
