Shopee Launches Sibol Accelerator: 5 Ways the Program Will Boost Filipino MSMEs

Shopee is celebrating its 10th year in the Philippines with a big move for local entrepreneurs. The e-commerce giant has rolled out the Shopee Tatak Pinoy: Sibol Accelerator Program (SAP), a six-month initiative designed to help promising micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) strengthen their digital presence and scale sustainably.
Here are five things to know about the new accelerator and how it can transform the growth journey of Filipino sellers:
1. Six Months of Structured Business Growth
SAP isn’t just another online workshop. It’s a half-year roadmap that begins with an intensive bootcamp in Q4 2025 and continues with tailored mentorship, milestone-based incentives, and structured guidance that match each seller’s unique goals.
2. Hands-On Mentorship from Shopee Experts
Selected MSMEs will receive dedicated coaching from Shopee’s Business Partners and access to global experts. These mentors will provide actionable insights in digital marketing, operations, and customer engagement to help sellers build strong, future-ready businesses.
3. Training Across Five Key Growth Areas
Participants will sharpen their skills in shop and content optimization, campaign planning, affiliate and community marketing, fulfillment, and performance tracking. Each area is designed to improve discoverability, sales, customer experience, and data-driven decision-making.
4. Exclusive Pilot Cohort of 20 High-Potential MSMEs
The first batch of SAP is strictly by invitation and limited to 20 sellers. Shopee is looking for MSMEs that already show steady performance, community impact, and the drive to scale strategically. These businesses will become the benchmark for future participants.
5. A Commitment to Local Pride and Long-Term Growth
SAP is part of the broader Shopee Tatak Pinoy initiative, which champions Filipino products and sellers. “When MSMEs succeed, communities thrive,” said Vincent Lee, Head of Shopee Philippines. “This program is our way of making sure Filipino businesses not only grow faster but grow smarter and more sustainably.”
From cacao farms like Don Ricardo Chocolates that expanded nationwide during the pandemic to new sellers aiming for their first breakthrough, the Sibol Accelerator signals a new era of support for local entrepreneurs. With tools, mentorship, and strategies to thrive, Shopee is betting on Filipino MSMEs to drive inclusive digital growth for the next decade.
