Genshin Impact Version Luna I: 8 Big Surprises Coming with the Moonlit Nod-Krai Update

HoYoverse is ready to launch Genshin Impact Version Luna I, “Song of the Welkin Moon: Segue,” on September 10.
The massive update introduces Nod-Krai, new allies, and long-awaited gameplay upgrades.
Here’s what you can expect:
- Nod-Krai Opens Its Gates The new region lies north of Natlan and is made up of three island territories. Players will uncover an ancient elemental force called Kuuvahki, which shapes the land, its people, and even exploration mechanics.
- Moonlit Power in Action Kuuvahki grants Travelers unique abilities — from gliding along Moonlanes as the elemental lifeform Kuuhenki to tapping into terrain-based power. Enemies and allies alike wield this energy, creating new combat strategies.
- Three Playable Heroes from Nod-Krai
- Lauma (5-star, Dendro Catalyst): Master of Lunar-Bloom reactions and agile half-deer transformation.
- Flins (5-star, Electro Polearm): A Lightkeeper with thunderous Lunar-Charged spear strikes.
- Aino (4-star, Hydro Claymore): An inventor with mechanical gadgets, including her quirky “Knuckle Duckle.”
- Harbingers Take Center Stage Sandrone, also called the Marionette, arrives to claim the moon’s power, while Columbina, once the Damselette, returns home as the Moon Maiden, blessing those who encounter her.
- Deeper Bonds Through Meeting Points This new feature lets players explore personal stories with companions — from Lauma’s Frostmoon legends to Aino’s lively workshop and Flins’s Lightkeeper heritage.
- Event Wishes and Banner Reruns The first half of Version Luna I features Lauma and Nahida, while the second half brings Flins, Aino, and Yelan back into the spotlight.
- Level 100 and Better Rewards Major quality-of-life updates include expanded Adventure EXP sources, artifact affix previews, and more team slots. The new Masterless Stella Fortuna pushes characters beyond the old cap, unlocking Level 100 potential.
- 5th Anniversary Celebrations Travelers can claim a free 5-star character from the Standard pool, 10 Intertwined Fates, 1,600 Primogems, two themed gadgets, and more anniversary bonuses.
