China Hits Back at Trump and EU Criticism Over Xi’s Parade With Putin, Kim Jong Un

Beijing has dismissed accusations from former U.S. President Donald Trump and European Union foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas that its World War II commemorations were a show of anti-Western unity.
Trump blasted Xi Jinping for hosting Russian President Vladimir Putin and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un at a massive Beijing parade, calling it a conspiracy against the U.S. China’s foreign ministry rejected the charge, stressing the event honored peace and history.
Officials also slammed Kallas’s remarks about an emerging “anti-Western order,” accusing her of arrogance and fueling global division.
