Genshin Impact’s Biggest Update Yet Opens the Mysterious Moonlit Realm of Nod-Krai

Genshin Impact has officially dropped its highly anticipated annual expansion, Version Luna I: A Dance of Snowy Tides and Hoarfrost Groves, and it is already being hailed as the game’s boldest chapter yet. Released on September 10, the update unveils Nod-Krai, Teyvat’s seventh region, where players will confront secrets tied to the moon itself.
The storyline introduces the Fatui Harbinger “Marionette” as a looming threat, while allies like Lauma of the Frostmoon Scions and Flins of the Wild Hunt enter the spotlight. Three new playable characters — Lauma, Flins, and Aino — debut with unique “Lunar Reactions” that shake up combat strategies, while fresh features like “Meeting Points” allow players to experience more personal character moments.
As part of Genshin Impact’s fifth anniversary celebration, HoYoverse is showering players with free rewards, including a 5-star character, 1,600 Primogems, and exclusive Nod-Krai gadgets. The festivities also extend to HoYoFair 2025, where the Genshin Impact Fan Art Special Program will premiere on September 20, featuring sequels to fan-favorite animated shorts and a special performance by Japanese singer ReoNa.
With cross-play across PlayStation, Xbox, PC, and mobile, Genshin Impact continues to prove why it remains one of the most influential RPGs in the world.
