Bold Move or Last Chance? Anaplan’s New Head Bets on AI

Anaplan has named Simone Pigason as its new country head for the Philippines, marking a significant step in the company’s regional expansion.
With more than two decades of experience in enterprise software, Pigason is tasked with driving local growth and helping businesses unlock the benefits of Anaplan’s AI-driven planning platform.
Pigason previously held leadership roles at SAP, Delaware, and San Miguel Corporation, where she focused on digital transformation and leveraging technology for business performance.
At Anaplan, she will oversee efforts to equip Philippine companies with tools to make faster, smarter decisions through real-time scenario planning and predictive insights.
Anaplan’s cloud-native platform connects data, people, and processes, enabling organizations to forecast with accuracy, model complex situations, and adapt to shifting conditions.
Used worldwide across industries, it supports critical functions in finance, supply chain, sales, and human resources, helping companies strengthen resilience and agility.
Pigason said she is eager to help local organizations navigate uncertainty through technology. “The businesses that will thrive are those that align their vision with execution in real-time.
By integrating artificial intelligence into planning, leaders can not only respond to change but also shape their future proactively,” she said.
Her appointment comes at a time when Philippine companies face increasing economic pressures, making efficient planning more important than ever.
Magdalena Hendrata, Anaplan’s Area Vice President for Asia, expressed confidence in Pigason’s leadership, highlighting the Philippines as a key market with high potential due to rapid digitalization.
Anaplan believes effective planning not only improves corporate performance but also supports national growth by boosting productivity, optimizing resources, and enhancing competitiveness.
With Pigason at the helm, the company aims to empower more Filipino enterprises to thrive in an unpredictable global economy.
