TCL scores four Anvil wins as brand bets big on skills training and youth sports

Buying a new TV or air conditioner is one thing. Knowing the brand is training Filipino workers and backing young athletes is another.
TCL Electronics just picked up four awards at the 61st Anvil Awards Gabi ng Parangal held January 28 at Solaire Resort, North Quezon City, marking its first ever Anvil trophies in the Philippines.
For a company known as the Triple Global Top 1 TV Brand and the No.1 ranking in global fresh air AC sales, this is less about specs and more about reputation.
The biggest win was a Gold trophy in the Public Relations Program for Corporate Responsibility and Good Governance for the TCL-TESDA Training Center. The program also earned a Silver award in the Public Relations Program Government Relations category. The initiative creates a structured enrollment to employment pathway, training students in advanced climate control technology with mentorship from TCL experts and channeling graduates into its own service network.
TCL also took home a Silver Anvil for the TCL Basketball Camp under its Inspire Greatness mission. Positioned as part of its Olympic Basketball Project, the program engaged young athletes and gained traction across Tech, Education, and Sports media.
On the marketing front, the TCL FreshIN 3.0 Campaign secured a Silver Anvil in the Marketing and Brand Communication category. The push included the TCL Cool Truck, which brought the FreshIN 3.0 AC to high traffic areas, blending product demos with a skills partnership with TESDA.
The Anvil Awards are organized by the Public Relations Society of the Philippines and judged by a multi sectoral panel of communication professionals, academics, business leaders, and industry representatives.
Under TCL Philippines CEO Peter Chen, the company says it is doubling down on technical leadership and brand elevation.
In a crowded electronics market, TCL is making it clear that brand power now depends as much on community impact as it does on screen size and cooling capacity.
