LG reveals home robot at CES 2026 aimed at cutting daily chores to zero

Imagine a robot that can handle delicate tasks around your house while you spend more time with family or just relax. LG Electronics is betting that future starts now, unveiling its new home robot LG CLOiD at CES 2026 in Las Vegas from January 6 to 9.
LG CLOiD is designed as a home assistant built around the company’s vision of the “Zero Labor Home, Makes Quality Time,” where technology reduces the burden of daily chores. The goal is simple: free customers from time-consuming housework and make home management more efficient and intuitive.
The robot is built for modern living spaces and features two articulated arms powered by motors delivering seven degrees of freedom each. With five individually actuated fingers on each hand, CLOiD is engineered for advanced dexterity, allowing it to perform delicate and precise tasks that require fine motor control.
Inside its head is an integrated chipset that acts as the robot’s brain. It also includes a display, speaker, camera, and an array of sensors to enable natural voice interaction, intelligent navigation, and expressive communication. Powered by LG’s Affectionate Intelligence technology, CLOiD is designed to sense its surroundings, learn from repeated interactions, and provide increasingly personalized support over time.
LG views robotics as a key future growth engine and has established the HS Robotics Lab within its Home Appliance Solution Company to strengthen its robotics capabilities. The company is also pursuing joint research initiatives and strategic partnerships with robotics firms in Korea and globally.
Visitors can see LG CLOiD in action at booth 15004 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. If LG’s vision plays out, the next upgrade to your home might not be a new appliance, but a robot that gives you your time back.
