HUAWEI bets big on Mate 80 Pro, but will it break through?

HUAWEI will launch the Mate 80 Pro smartphone and WATCH GT Runner 2 smartwatch in the Philippines this April.
The announcements were made during HUAWEI’s global “Now is Your Run” product launch in Madrid, Spain.
The Mate 80 Pro represents the return of HUAWEI’s flagship Mate series, showcasing advanced technology and AI-powered camera features.
Its Dual Space Ring design combines modern sophistication with durability, reinforced by 2nd Gen Kunlun Glass and IP68/IP69 water and dust resistance.
The smartphone also introduces a SuperCool Dual Phase Change Heat Dissipation system to maintain peak performance without thermal throttling.
The WATCH GT Runner 2 features a 3D floating antenna architecture and an intelligent positioning algorithm for precise tracking even during signal interruptions.
The smartwatch includes a new intelligent marathon mode that provides one-stop race management and coaching for both professional and amateur runners.
Olympic athlete Eliud Kipchoge contributed to the development of the WATCH GT Runner series, aiming to enhance the experience for runners worldwide.
HUAWEI’s Mate 80 Pro aims to elevate the premium smartphone experience with AI innovations, advanced cameras, and refined design.
The WATCH GT Runner 2 continues the series’ focus on performance insights, intelligent training support, and precision tracking, building on the previous 2021 model.
Filipino consumers can expect both products to combine cutting-edge smartphone innovation and professional running technology when they arrive locally this April.
