St. Luke’s expansion in Quezon City aims to cut wait times and upgrade patient care by 2027

If you’ve ever waited hours for a hospital room or struggled to book a diagnostic test, this matters now. St. Luke’s Medical Center – Quezon City is expanding in a big way, and it could change how fast and how comfortably patients get treated.
The hospital has just completed the vertical construction of its North Hospital Building, marked by a topping-off ceremony. The 13-storey structure, located beside St. Luke’s College of Medicine along Sta. Ignaciana Street, is designed to fix a common problem: overcrowded services and scattered facilities.
Once finished in 2027, the new building will house nearly 80% of the hospital’s existing services in one place. That means fewer transfers between buildings, shorter wait times, and a more streamlined experience for patients and their families.
Inside, the upgrade is significant. The facility will include 132 patient rooms, expanded outpatient services, larger diagnostic and therapeutic areas, advanced surgical suites, and dedicated spaces for specialized care. In simple terms, more rooms and better equipment mean more patients can be treated faster, with less stress and delay.
The hospital says the building will also feature advanced healthcare technologies and meet high safety standards, aiming to create a safer and more comfortable environment for recovery.
This expansion is not just about size. It reflects St. Luke’s push to future-proof its Quezon City operations as healthcare demand continues to rise. More capacity and better systems could ease pressure on both patients and medical staff.
The milestone comes shortly after another win. Healthcare Asia Awards 2026 named St. Luke’s – Quezon City as Tertiary Hospital of the Year, reinforcing its position in the country’s healthcare landscape.
For patients, the bottom line is simple. Faster access, better facilities, and less waiting could soon become the new normal.
