Blink and you miss it: Shell drops Php5 fuel price but only for a week

If you’ve felt your fuel budget creeping up again, there’s a short window to ease the hit. Shell Pilipinas Corporation is offering a Php5 per liter discount on all fuels from April 24 to 30, 2026, giving motorists a limited chance to cut costs at the pump.
The deal is available at participating Shell stations nationwide, but there’s a catch. Four-wheel vehicle owners need a minimum purchase of Php 1,500, while two-wheel users need at least Php 200 to qualify. The maximum discount is capped at Php 200 per transaction, so bigger fill-ups won’t keep stacking savings beyond that limit.
For everyday drivers, that means planning your next gas stop could translate into instant cash saved, especially if you’re already due for a refill this week.
Shell is also pushing its existing perks alongside the promo. Programs like Shell Go+ and SMAC let users earn points on purchases that can be used like cash later. Meanwhile, the UnionBank Shell Power Card offers eligible customers up to 5% rebate on fuel spend, adding another layer of savings for frequent drivers.
On the efficiency side, Shell FuelSave is still part of the pitch, promising better mileage to stretch every liter further, though actual results depend on driving habits and conditions.
Public transport drivers are getting a separate boost. Through the Department of Energy’s diesel subsidy program, Shell provides a Php 10 per liter discount for public utility vehicles, with additional discounts for PUV and TNVS drivers available in around 450 stations nationwide.
For many Filipinos juggling rising daily expenses, even small fuel discounts can ripple into lower commute costs or delivery fees. But with this one-week window, the real question is simple: fill up now or miss out.
