MSI Launches High-Performance Raider and Crosshair Laptops

Technology manufacturer MSI has debuted its redesigned Raider and Crosshair gaming laptop lineups globally, introducing high-performance hardware powered by the newest Intel Core Ultra 200HX series processors and Nvidia GeForce RTX 50 series graphics cards.
The company confirmed that the Philippine market will specifically receive the Raider 16 HX, the Crosshair 16 HX, and the budget-conscious Cyborg 15 Max models to cater to various consumer segments.
According to global sales executives, the refreshed configurations focus heavily on thermal optimization to reduce operational fan noise under heavy computing loads while simultaneously pushing hardware capabilities.
The flagship Raider 16 laptop leads the lineup by pushing up to 300 watts of combined power to its internal components through a proprietary triple-fan thermal setup utilizing six heat pipes and five exhaust vents.
Engineers managed to decrease the device profile and ensure fan noise stays below 50 decibels by shrinking the internal motherboard, which created more physical room for larger, slower-spinning fans that maintain efficient airflow.
A dynamic fan curve adjustments system further prevents abrupt operational noise spikes during lighter computing tasks, while a quick-access panel secured by two screws allows users to swap storage and memory without removing the entire lower casing.
Visual performance on the flagship model relies on a high-end, 16-inch QHD+ display running at a 240Hz refresh rate with full DCI-P3 color coverage.
The technical specifications for the Raider 16 HX variants include options for either an Nvidia RTX 5080 with 16GB of video memory or an RTX 5070 Ti with 12GB of video memory alongside an Intel HM870 chipset.
The top-tier machine also incorporates dual Thunderbolt 4 slots, three USB-A ports, an SD Express reader, an 8K-capable HDMI 2.1 output, and a 24-zone RGB keyboard featuring a dedicated Microsoft Copilot button.
Additional features for the premier device include a four-cell 91.8Whr battery, a 280-watt power adapter, a facial-recognition infrared webcam with physical privacy shutters, Wi-Fi 7 network capabilities, and a four-speaker sound system.
The slimmer Crosshair 16 HX lineup delivers up to 200 watts of system allocation, representing a 30-watt enhancement over prior iterations through an exclusive quad-vent cooling architecture.
Gamers using the mid-range option get a matching QHD+ 240Hz display, a newly stylized four-zone dynamic RGB keyboard, and rear-positioned networking and display inputs for cleaner desktop organization.
The internal configurations of the Crosshair 16 HX utilize older Intel Core i9 or i7 14th-generation HX processors paired alongside newer Nvidia RTX 5070, 5060, or 5050 graphics layouts.
The 2.2-kilogram Crosshair model also features dual Type-C connections, an 80Whr power cell, a 240-watt charging brick, up to 96GB of expandable DDR5 memory, and dual Gen4 and Gen5 solid-state drive slots.
The entry-level Cyborg 15 Max marks a major generational shift by raising its total power capacity to 140 watts, giving its Intel Core 200H processor and Nvidia RTX 5070 graphics setup a 100-watt maximum graphic ceiling.
A dual-fan system utilizes integrated phase-change materials to help the entry-tier unit realize a 122 percent improvement in graphics power over older versions.
Visual creation and gameplay on the entry laptop are managed by a 144Hz Full HD display that covers the complete sRGB color spectrum.
The highly portable budget model scales down to a 21-millimeter thickness and a 2-kilogram chassis weight while retaining three USB-A ports, a 100-watt power-delivery Type-C connection, and rear-facing auxiliary ports.
The internal layout of the entry unit includes an Intel Core 7 240H system-on-chip, up to 96GB of memory, dual Gen4 storage pathways, DTS audio processing, a white-backlit keyboard, and a 60Whr battery.
To support the launch, the manufacturer announced a seasonal promotional bundle running from May 13 through June 30, 2026, for customers purchasing select new models.
Buyers who purchase specific configurations within the promotional window qualify for a complimentary 12-month subscription to NordVPN.
Consumers can also secure a one-year warranty extension on their hardware by publishing an evaluation and review of their purchased laptop through official corporate channels.
The retail promotion officially applies to purchases of the Raider 16 HX B2W, the Stealth 16 AI+ B3W, the Crosshair 16 HX E14W, and the Cyborg 15 Max C13W models.
