PalawanPay Launches Zero-Fee Donations for Filipinos

MANILA, Philippines — The Palawan Group of Companies and GMA Kapuso Foundation have launched a digital fundraising partnership that allows Filipinos to make instant, zero-fee charitable donations through the PalawanPay mobile application.
The collaboration integrates the electronic payment platform as a primary donation gateway using the QR Ph standard, eliminating financial barriers and transaction fees to encourage smaller, daily contributions.
This digital upgrade expands options for supporters who previously depended on over-the-counter bank transactions, enabling them to send funds immediately using their smartphones from any location.
A ceremonial signing event formally marked the beginning of this initiative, which aims to modernize humanitarian giving by leveraging deeply rooted Filipino cultural values of community spirit and compassion.
The zero-fee system guarantees that the entire amount of each digital contribution goes directly to funding nationwide programs in education, disaster response, medical missions, and livelihood development.
Palawan Group of Companies Co-Founder and Deputy Chairman Angelita M. Castro highlighted the organization’s commitment to financial accountability and integrity, noting that every peso will directly support vulnerable populations.
Officials from the GMA Kapuso Foundation stated that adding this new payment channel simplifies the giving process and opens up opportunities to connect with a much broader base of digital donors.
GMA Kapuso Foundation Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Rikki Escudero-Catibog emphasized the value of aligning with a network that can quickly reach isolated communities across the country, specifically pointing out their shared focus on supporting nationwide school programs.
The cooperative effort unites the corporate service principles of both organizations, combining the foundation’s dedication to authentic public service with the financial company’s focus on dependable and empathetic assistance.
Palawan Group Chief Business Development Officer Lisa Lou Castro-Sabado explained that the company prioritizes alliances with value-driven organizations to uplift the nation rather than simply expanding its commercial footprint.
Both leadership teams concluded the launch by expressing optimism that combining technological innovation with social welfare will foster an inclusive and accessible culture of philanthropy across the Philippines.
