Cherie DeVille returned to UC Santa Barbara for her second guest appearance in Professor Constance Penley’s Film Studies class, joining students for an academic conversation on sexuality, media and culture.

During the visit, DeVille spoke with students about adult entertainment, public perception and the larger cultural conversations surrounding sex work and media representation. The discussion gave students a direct look at the industry through the perspective of a performer, creator and outspoken advocate who continues to bring thoughtful commentary to spaces far beyond the screen.

“I was absolutely honored to get the opportunity to speak to Professor Constance Penley’s class at UC Santa Barbara for the second time,” said DeVille. “The students were incredibly thoughtful and engaged, and I appreciated the opportunity to openly discuss the intersections of sexuality, media, and culture in an academic setting.
