GCash, the Philippines’ leading finance super app, and Oona Insurance Philippines are expanding their partnership to offer a wider range of insurance products through the GCash app. This move aims to enhance financial inclusion by providing accessible, affordable insurance solutions to millions of Filipinos.

New insurance products available on GCash include Critical Illness Insurance covering cancer, heart attack, and stroke, starting at PHP 51 per year, and Comprehensive Travel Insurance with up to PHP 5 million coverage starting at PHP 299.

This partnership removes barriers to insurance access by leveraging GCash’s extensive digital reach and Oona’s customer-centric products, enabling users to secure protection easily through their mobile devices.

Winsley Bangit, Group Head of News Businesses at GCash, emphasized their goal to expand insurance penetration in the country, while Oona’s CEO Ninoy Rollan III highlighted their mission to make insurance simple and accessible.

The expanded offerings build on the success of Oona’s Smart Flight Delay Insurance previously available on the GCash app.

Filipinos can now access these new insurance options directly on the GCash app, empowering more individuals to protect their health and travel plans conveniently.
