Acer has unveiled the Googlebook 14, marking the debut of the industry’s first convertible laptop designed around Googlebook OS and built from the ground up for Gemini Intelligence.
The 1.14 kg flagship device introduces a new product category aimed at deep cross-device integration, allowing users to sync tasks, mirror mobile apps, and execute context-aware AI actions directly alongside Android phones.
The convertible laptop features a 360-degree hinge system that supports four operational modes: standard laptop, streaming tent, presentation stand, and tablet.
Measuring 13.9 mm thick, the device is housed in an aluminum-magnesium chassis in Elemental Blue, featuring an expressive “Glowbar” light indicator on the top lid that displays battery and charging status through color patterns.
Under the hood, the system is powered by up to an Intel Core Ultra 7 processor 355 with an integrated Neural Processing Unit (NPU) capable of up to 50 TOPS. The internal hardware setup includes up to 32 GB of LPDDR5X RAM, up to 512 GB of PCIe Gen4 NVMe SSD storage, and a 71 Wh battery rated for up to 16 hours of web browsing.

The software architecture relies heavily on cross-device continuity with Android. A feature called “Continue On” lets users pick up mobile tasks on the laptop, while “Cast My Apps” runs smartphone applications on the desktop without local installation. The system also offers proactive screen-based suggestions and interactive tools like “Magic Pointer,” activated by shaking the cursor.

Visual duties are handled by a 14-inch 3K (2880×1800) OLED touch display with a 16:10 aspect ratio, 500 nits peak brightness, 100% DCI-P3 color coverage, and VESA DisplayHDR True Black certification. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass and supports USI 2.0 stylus input.
