VinFast has deployed 11 units of its VF MPV 7 as the official electric vehicle fleet for delegates from ASEAN’s Dialogue Partners attending the 44th ASEAN Ministers on Energy Meeting (AMEM44) and its Associated Meetings from Oct. 5 to 8, 2026.
The deployment makes the VF MPV 7 part of the official mobility arrangements for the regional energy gathering, providing delegates with zero-emission transportation throughout the event.
The 44th AMEM and its Associated Meetings bring together energy ministers and senior officials from ASEAN member states, Dialogue Partners and international organizations to advance regional cooperation on key energy concerns.
The annual ministerial platform is expected to set strategic direction on initiatives covering energy security, the transition to cleaner energy, renewable energy deployment, energy efficiency, and greater connectivity and integration of energy systems across Southeast Asia.
The meetings also provide an avenue for ASEAN and its partners to discuss emerging technologies, investments and infrastructure needed to meet rising regional energy demand while building a more secure, resilient and sustainable energy future.
As the meeting’s official mobility partner, VinFast said the deployment demonstrates the viability of battery electric vehicles as a practical transportation solution while highlighting its position in the local electric seven-seater segment.
The VF MPV 7 was launched in the Philippines in May 2026 as VinFast’s premium seven-seater designed for Filipino families.
The electric MPV has a three-row cabin designed for multi-generational families, with up to 1,240 liters of cargo space. It is equipped with a 60.13-kWh battery offering a driving range of up to 450 kilometers on a full charge under NEDC standards.
Its 150-kW electric motor produces 280 Nm of torque, providing the vehicle with the power required for daily driving and longer trips.
The ASEAN Energy Business Forum, held alongside the meetings, brings together key stakeholders to advance solutions for a more sustainable and resilient energy future.
For VinFast, the forum provides an opportunity to participate in discussions on clean energy and sustainable mobility while highlighting the potential role of electric vehicles in the region’s energy transition.
VinFast said its participation also reflects its efforts to work with partners across ASEAN on innovation and the development of cleaner mobility solutions.
As it expands its Southeast Asian presence, the company said it is focused on making electric mobility more accessible through an ecosystem covering electric vehicles, charging solutions, ownership and aftersales support.
