ICT distributor VST ECS Phils., Inc. has partnered with cloud and security vendor Akamai Technologies to deliver enterprise-grade digital protection tools to local channel partners and commercial clients.

The strategic alliance integrates Akamai’s advanced cybersecurity and cloud portfolio into VST ECS’s enterprise offerings. The rollout targets growing vulnerabilities across cloud environments, connected applications, APIs, and digital platforms operated by Philippine organizations.

Under the agreement, VST ECS gains distribution rights for Akamai’s core security product suite. These security offerings include:

• Application and API Security to protect exposed software interfaces and web services.
• Zero Trust Security and Microsegmentation to enforce strict access controls and minimize internal threat lateral movement.
• DDoS and Bot Protection to mitigate large-scale service disruption attacks and manage unauthorized automated traffic.
• DNS and Cloud Security to safeguard core network naming infrastructure and off-premise environments.

The partnership focuses on key sectors facing heightened digital risks. Financial institutions can deploy the suite to defend online banking portals and APIs, while retail and e-commerce companies gain tools to secure digital storefronts against automated bots and transaction fraud.

Public sector institutions can utilize the offerings to reinforce citizen-facing services, while BPOs, telecommunications operators, and healthcare providers operating hybrid or multicloud infrastructures can leverage Zero Trust frameworks to restrict malicious movement within critical corporate networks.
