Parker-Hannifin Blows $1 Billion on Fancy Battery Gizmos, Hopes Nobody Notices the Math

·

Parker-Hannifin is throwing $1 billion in cash to acquire Curtis Instruments from privately held Rehlko.

Curtis Instruments makes motor speed controllers, traction systems, and other goodies for both electric and conventional vehicles.

Parker claims the acquisition will magically “complement” its current electrification and hydraulic offerings.

Curtis is projected to rake in just $320 million in sales for fiscal year 2025—because apparently, overpaying is a strategic vision now.

The transaction is expected to close by the end of 2025, assuming nobody gets cold feet from the sticker shock.
